I lived in Tucson Az., and i had the priviledge of meeting Ed Keeylocko at his ranch near the sweet Sierra rim out past three points near Ajo, Az. I spent several occasions at his ranch in his cantina listening to him sing, tell stories of the Buffalo soldiers. If you got to know him a little, he would tell you about his run ins with the local law or stories of his two stints in Viet Nam. Ed is a true American, gentleman, cattle rancher, orator, storyteller, roper, and all around good man.
Thanks very much. Im 45, and my thought were shaped by media images made by Hollywood. I thought it was a myth or small part of early America, but this is fact and truth. But these guys have more connection with values and the earth and many of the cityfied friends.
I love it. my uncle was a cowboy he is dead now but most of my family from Texas were rancher, country people i am glad that we have YT so that the Real truth can come out becuase trust me we have been DUPED on many things.
Who remembers some of the Bulls, like yellow 8, 88 and 99 bad ripple of Mr. Franks, V61, white lightning, hippy, psychodelic, 30 hat rack, 320 Rodeo Red of Sloan Willaims. Who was at RV ranch when 320 rodeo red jumped the fence and swam the swamp..... man, those were the days..
Willie, James Thomas, Clinton, Myrtis, Bailey, Hoppy, cold duck, all the Jackson clan, Harold, Freddy, Charlie Davis, Oklahoma Slim, Blue, Im forgettin some. But, they will always be special friends in my heart...
Great video.... Alot of my old friends are on there.....
See'n that video, and even some of the faces, brought back memories from my youth rodeo'n on sunday afternoons at all the arenas in area, RV ranch and robert jackson, T diamond ranch, Wharton, Arthur Pruits, Wards blue room arena, Angleton, Dickinson, Hambone Edwards Jones Creek arena, kendelton, Egypt (north or south) arena.
Very well done. Many doors have been opened due to the work done by these men . Let us continue to share the history and encourage our youth to be even better.
