  • who gives a fuck about the crowd ,its the music that counts, top of the pops says it all , what a bunch of pans people haha !!! sad !

  • True about the crowd . . . in 1979 they'd have been going ballistic.

  • Can't believe this legend is still around, love it!

  • great to hear the Prince. what a legend. up there with count prince miller, jackie edwards (rip), and jimmy james.

  • Why didn't I hear this in 1998. How well did it do in the charts? Why am I only hearing about Prince Buster now? I feel neglected.

  • I think the guy carrying the camera cable at 0:36 is overcome by the music

  • no prince buster=

    no specials,selecter,madness,beat, and so on

and we alll know the influence of 70'S two tone ever since and still alive today

PRINCE BUSTER=THE MOST IMPORTANT ARTIST EVER...PROBABLY!!

  • The cable guy sure looks funny but when you think about it he seems to be the only one who's cottoning on to what the songs about

  • @eveningoutake Yes! That's right!

  • I just love Ska I grew up to the likes of Prince Buster,Laurel Aikin to name a few and was in my element in1979 when Ska made a modern revival with the Two Tone label you cannot compare the two styles as both are for different generations but the revival must be thanked as all the original performers have been given the chance to entertain again off tunes they have had covered. I've seen artist I know would never have come to England if it wasn'n for the revival long live Ska .

  • It;s pretty kinky, really. The guy is talking 'bout sex from both the guys or girls perspective 'Whine or Grind'. One of the original lines is "give it to her fast and you can't go wrong."

Mean while there is a moshpit of teenyboppers in front.

  • GEIL OLTAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • is this a sort of cover of the beats "stand down margret"

  • THIS IS THE ORIGINAL ARTIST, YOU FOOL!!! :)

"Whine & grine" was originally done in the 1960s by one and only Prince Buster and, was covered by The Beat in the 80s and was recorded new in the end of the 90s for a Levi's commercial!

  • god man, i thought this was the original until i saw that the date it was released was 1998? but now i know he just re-did it for this advert

  • @benj8706 prince buster is one of the origianal ska players from kingston jamacia from the 1960's,the song whine or grine is a 1960's tune by prince buster and the beat cover prince buster songs not the other way round

  • It's killing me! Don't these people know who's standing in front of them? There dancing so fucking tame- it's lame-

  • I never get star struck but I got such an almighty shock when I bumped into him outside Morleys in Brixton a few years ago. Also Buster must have been in his late sixties/early seventies then but he looked to be about 28 years old!!! What's your secret, Prince?
