  • jesus there's a d-100 in the back ($110,000)

  • 2:50

  • Maybe it's YouTube or the Rode mic, but it wasn't very impressive.

  • I love the fretboard inlays on the new GPCPA2 & the DCPA1 but was just wondering is there much difference in the sound between the GPCPA3 Grand Performance and the DCPA3 Dreadnaught model? I'm new to the Acoustic World, I own 3 Electrics.

  • Whazzup wit da "pimp azz" tuners?

  • martin are fantastic guitars. I will hang on to my hd28 but I hope one day I can afford a Lowden or McIlroy.

  • i got my new d28 last week and its fantastic without the bs

  • i hate jumbos and bumbos

  • Over priced guitars. There are many guitar companies that make an equal, if not better quality/sounding guitar than Martin for a fraction of the cost. Larrivee is one, and there are alot more.

  • That is a great place. I baught my G&L ASAT ther a few months ago. They've got some great guitars.

  • Being a left handed player, it's quite hard to find nice guitars. My Martin is among one of my favorites in my collection, would recommend one to anybody! Undeniable tone and playability, with a decent guitarist behind one of these bad boys there's no going wrong.

  • ive been a martin guy ever scince i started playing, and ive realized that every marin guitar is different because every intruremeent is almost completely built by hand. if you live on the northeren east cost, i sugest that you gi to there factory in Nazerath PA. its amazing

  • Stfu and just play. We want to hear the damn guitar!

Skip to 6:02 to actually hear the guitar...

  • I want his job, I bet he gets free guitars!

  • pfffff they copy taylor

  • i was their..yesterday

  • I was playing my Taylor K26ce last night, and I have a new DMSM on the way. The Taylor sound just doesn't cut it for me anymore........ so I'm going to cancel the DMSM and get one of these!

  • Although this has a onboard tuner. Taylor does not.

  • I just get this, its perfect guitar I've ever play...good for performing, easy to set up!!!

  • pardon me, but aren't martins just overpriced? quality sure, but for that price !?

  • His not the greatest guitar play..

  • he keeps playing G and E chords and its annoying

  • beautiful beautiful guitar

  • the only martin guitar i have ever played is a 12 string and it was amazing

  • almost a taylor. even the simple pickup system almost looks like the ones in taylor guitars.

  • looks like a taylor.

  • ya total Taylor 8/9-14ce copy

  • nice

  • that looks very like a martin 816ce ;)

  • I like guitars. I'm a guitarist.

  • I like the tradtional Martin pickguard better. I'm a purist.

  • when i win the lottery iam going to blow her out and move to carlsbad and just buy the fucking lot, a house near the beach a martin and run and play free till the end!! amen

  • god iam jealous, rainy wesy london realy sucks, how do i imagrate? i guess first i gotta learn to spell it?

  • i wanna buy a new guitar, which one should i go for?

  • Any full gloss (top sides and back) Martin is still nitrocellulose lacquer.

A Martin with a gloss top and satin back & sides is a catalyzed lacquer.

Martin doesn't use poly finish, and never has, but I would never say "never" to what may be down the road.

  • thank u for ur kind reply :]

  • Introducing the "TAYLIN" guitar!!

  • 5:56

    ?!...wow

  • what song was the intro

  • You would think that being a district Manager for C.F. Martin Joe Mac would be a little more versed in his product. Doesn't seem to be very passionate about his product. But hey, maybe he just doesn't fell comfortable in front of a camera?!?! What do I know........

  • A lot of district managers for products don't give a damn about what they're flogging, they're just good at keeping an eye on the process.

  • my heaven

  • no

the high gloss is poly automotive paint, cheaper and easier to shoot.

  • hi! so how am i supposed to know what kind of coating is on a guitar im checking out at the store? [i didnt understand..again- what kind is good? and what kind is bad?]. And p.s- does it really matter? cause at the end, u just listen to the sound the guitar makes..so if its good, u just take it ? :]

  • ask the shop. glossy finishes are usually poly and are on most low end guitars. everyone reckons nitro sound better, but there are great guitars with poly finishes.

if it sounds good to you, buy it, im a bit of a traditionalist, and if you like it, dont listen to anyone else.

  • would a non-pro ever really consider electronics in their acoustic guitar? I can't see myself ever performing, would I need a wired guitar?

  • if you ever want to put effects on the output sound of your guitar, delay, loop etc, then yes

  • I'm still a Takamine man, no mater what! Love my Blonde <3

  • I love Martin, but in this case i think the Taylor 214 sounds better and is cheaper, is only mine opinion

  • I def. looks like Martin is trying to make a "Taylor-like" guitar.

  • Taylor is probably slaughtering them in sales these days.

  • If you play bluegrass, you play a Martin. If you play in a praise band, you play a Taylor. This new Martin series should compete well against the Taylor. The video under-emphasized the awesome-ness of the electronics being digital samples of 9 world class microphones, since the main goal of an electrified acoustic is to still sound like an acoustic. I love my Martin D28 with a Schertler pickup.

  • those Martin's have a really nice sound, but I still prefer Ovation :) just my opinion

  • ohh..so many questions..

    1.Martin? or Taylor?

2.that whole reflective covering that the guitar has [that makes it shine], doesnt it make the sound kinda die? comparing to some Takamine guitars that has no coating like that [straight up wood], and the sound vibrates nicely?

3.ehh...i prefer the horizontal Martin logo.. heh..just saying :]

  • am i the only one who absolutely fucking hates guitars that have to have a battery in it?

  • Nope your not the only one

  • I'm with you! I hate all this shit that guitar manufacture are doing like the robot guitar or the fender strat that has sounds built in. All I'm I'm saying is that if I wanted my strat to sound like a 12 string I would buy a real damn 12 string. haha

  • I want a Martin too, too bad they run for so much...

  • I got one for $1000. I was able to pay it off in a year with no interest at Guitar Center.

I really like it. I wouldn't mind having a Taylor either, though.

  • Problem is that I live in the EU, where every price is stuffed with VAT, so a $1000 guitar suddenly becomes a €1000 guitar. I now have the cheapest full-size Taylor I could get, and I love it. I would like to have a D-16, and if possible a D-28.

    Which Martin have you got?

  • lol you gotta play the dreadnought man.

  • That first guitar is beautiful.

  • It's funny how he just kinda bashes the two guitars together.

  • i know i cringed

  • wish I had 1000 bucks to blow on one.... I have trouble with Bb on an acoustic. sissy hands

  • @mystro810 Me too. I can only do the easy chords.

  • what was the song at the start?

  • too bad he didnt tell us how much these bad boys are running and show us how they sound out of an amp... im still impressed though =]..

  • meh i love martin's guitar gotta get one.

  • Price?

  • I like what he's playing at the end

  • Those guitars sound amazing!!

  • Hey why did they make a Takamine?

  • I'll have to check one of those out! Sounds like it would be an incredible guitar. I'm still using my old '74 Alvarez (aka "my beater") and it's definately seen better days.

  • Pretty awesome.

  • I'd love to get a Martin guitar...
