History lesson for the young'uns...in the days before foodstamps, the gub'ment issues what was known as COMMODITY FOOD. You had to go to a place and stand in line to get boxes of gub'ment issued food. Big blocks of cheese (made bomb-assed grill cheese samiches) rice, beans, flour, peanut butter, ect. All the food had gub'ment labels and in plain boxes or tin cans. Those were the DAYS!!!
