I replaced my 80gig Hard Drive to 500 gig hard drive, My BIOS sees the 500 Gig Hard Drive however when I put the Windows XP Disk in, It inly sees a 160 Gig Hard Drive. I was still able to format and install the windows OS but still windows only sees 160 GIG, Is this because I have a old version of windows XP with none of the Service Packs? How to I get windows to see the whole 500 gig's on one drive c:
The hard drive probably has a 160GB partition and the remaining is unallocated. Download EASEUS Partition Master and see what it tells ya. Its a great freeware disk partitioner.
what you suggest is warez, to install xp you must have a genuine copy of xp pro or home but since xp is not selling anymore the only LEGAL way to get it is by purchasing a low-cost PC sometimes known as a netbook. I suggest Windows 7; in my opinion it is much better than XP...
mine says setup cannot find previous version of windows on the computer or somthing then it says then it says insert one of the following product cds. and when i put in my WINDOWS XP. it says setup cannot read or is not a valid windows cd. and there are no scratches on the cd. please help.
