dude wtf... thats the hard... way... easy way is... while ur on the pad in the air put the other portal from the one you placed at the beggining you will continue to have the same speed going up and down.. and keep doing it... u never have to redo the thing.. easy.. simple...

I don't think there's any air resistance in this game (though I could be wrong), so "twitching" is hardly necessary. Just find the next platform and shoot the opposite color portal (of the one you came out of) each time.
