A car like the Ford GT will pull ALL the way to the redline in it's final gear, therefor adding a gazillion more hp will not add to it's top speed, you'll have to change the gearing for that, but why, 211mph is damn fast, and no racetrack in the world will allow the car to top out, so no point at all in re-gearing a Ford GT.

I'm sure any GT, stock or not could beat the BMW's record, 160mph isn't exactly impressive.

on the highway, it takes a gt the same amount of hp as a zo6 for the gt to outrun the vette. the only vette that the gt would lose to is the zr1, which ford has beat with the shelby gr1. all we have to wait for is fords decision on whether to put the gr1 in productiion or not, but if they spent $2mil on just the body, theres no way they arent goin to produce it

I work at Heritage Ford in VT and we sold 2 GT's and both dyno'd and auch. But both of them with just minor tuning did 0-60 in 3.38 and 3.42 best on them, so this new german one is slower?? I'm confused. Car is listed as 0-60 in 3.3 from ford and has been tested at that by Car & Driver Mag and a few others.

Probably my Volvo S70 turbo. Already driven in Geneva, NY to Vail, CO in 22hours straight. With 4 people total and skis and snowboards. Not to mention the stealth equipment in this car is up there with some ralliers. Laser jammers, Radar detectors, scanner CB radio etc.
