  • This is absolutely out of this world. Words fail me as to how good this really is. In fact it is hard to believe, looking back, that these broadcasts actually happened! This was indeed Ceefax at its very peak, and oh how I miss this wondeful era...

  • Guy Gollasch 's first name was Gunther, and he conducted the Rundfunk Tanzorchester Berlin as well as his own band, a great man

  • Great tracks, full of energy.

  • the xylophone tune @450 is called moonshot by the guy gulash band

i think its included on the mozart lounge vol 2

  • I have to say I'm genuinely staggered at how good this is. If anyone can let me know if this is available on CD I would be very grateful

  • Best ever PFC tape!Used to have it on audio casette myself,as well as the BBC playlist with credits. Thanks so much for putting it on here,CW.Any plans to post the rest of it?There were some really neat Jazz quartet tracks after the half hour mark.

  • A high-octane set that blows you away!

  • A splendid energetic series of pieces made to put the wind up your sails.

  • This was Ceefax music at its very best

  • EXCELENT STUFF! Love this whole tape, what a superb summer when this music played on the test transmissions. I still remember the Tuesday afternoon when this had its first play and I was there with my cassette recorder in front of the TV.... :)

  • I wish Apollo had released Positron and One of a Crowd as complete sequences on CDs rather than just a few of the tracks (although the F.Chiari ones are great!)

This whole tape just steams along a great pace.

  • Classic tape this one. Early 80's Ceefax on BBC1 became pretty dull and then this tape came along bringing some much needed life to proceedings

  • F*** me sideways - you've got Wind Tunnel!!!! Where the hell did you get them from?!!

  • Just sent a message about details of where to get Wind Tunnel and similar music.

  • The tracks on this video all come from East Germany. They are performed by the Berlin Radio Dance Orchestra, led by Günter Gollasch. Gollasch is now 85 and still making music in Germany today!

  • Well, his music is as good as my Mercedes!

  • ...and my BMWs!
