I will surely not plan on using an analog locomotive with a DCC layout. My 2-6-2 Prairie was blowing the smoke fluid before it had started to move. (Which, normally would only happen if it was at full speed)

DCC locomotives are marked "DCC on Board". Not all Bachmann locomotives are DCC on Board.

@bachmanntrains Are your "DCC on Broad" decoders able to work on DC? What I mean are they the kind that can work on both DCC and DC layouts with having to do anything?

@LycoValleyRRFan They will work on regular DC but they will be much slower and the lights will not be as bright. You can take out the Decoder. There is a little plastic bag that comes with New Bachmann DCC on board engines. In the bag there are Two metal plugs. Take decoder out and put plugs in. It will then run Normal on a DC system.

with the bachmann EZ can you only controll one section of track like you had to have a hornby dc controller for each track or can you run two from on controller
