  • That's fucking incredible!!!!

  • Holy Shit it even lookes like he can do more!!!!!!!!!

  • i did that with my D!ck...

  • What was that noise when he started lifting the weight? Was the Earth's gravity being thrown out of alignment or something?

  • Comment removed

  • Benedikt Magnusson ALL-TIME HEAVIEST RAW DEADLIFT (1015 POUNDS). New King.

  • You know what amazing, NO STRAPS! Thats to all those gym rats using straps @ 200lbs.

  • UK strength at it's best....

  • Excellently filmed, great movie making

  • i can total this in 2 attempts...does that count? :) lol

  • Pretty fucking intense

  • @beartots thats fucked up

  • @beartots You're full of shit. I know people personally that can deadlift 700 lbs. and I can guarantee you you can't deadlift that much unless you are superhuman and/or weigh 350 lbs. and have been training for 10 years.

  • Comment removed

  • @wookieeassassin ok i exaggerated a little bit i can get 725 and you dont have to train for 10 years you just need to be an athlete and have extremely strong legs and you dont have to be close to 350 lbs to lift 700

  • @beartots

alright, so lets see a video then.

  • @beartots yeah i doubt it

  • whats that bell sound at the end? absolutely love it! thanks guys. keep it up.

  • ...you break parallel in squats....wtf is parallel in deadlifting? he stood up with it, he locked out, he got the record, and he bloody well deserves it. do you have any idea the dedication it must have taken for his to go through with all of that? wtf have you done lately that's special?

  • I'm a fuing moron? fuck, you confused deadlifting with squatting, and you don't even realise how much weight you'd have to gain to lift that fucking much, and you've done a lot lately? fucking brilliant, next time shut your mouth before you bag out someone of that status, and come talk to you when you have something to say? fuck, you bit off more than you could chew, so live with it fuckwit. you're a fucking dipshit, why were you bagging out andy bolton? grow the fuck up

  • don't you mean 'first "off" learn how to spell'? you're either a troll or you have severe emotional issues. or maybe you had emotional issues, and that's why you became a troll. either way, you're a dipshit. yes I am a bastard, my parents weren't married when I was born. I don't see what that has to do with anything though....

  • listen dude. i have nothing else to say to you so fuck you and have a nice day.

where did you get troll from...

  • @jschrank534 lol first of learn how to spell! a fail so epic its almost a win

  • Bolton didn't pull raw. He had an Inzer deadlift suit on. I'm sure he only got 50-80lbs. out of it anyway. Bench shirts, if their three or four ply you can get 250-350lbs. out of it. Andy Bolton is truly one of the worlds strongest powerlifters!

  • its weird how the world record deadlift is lower than the world record bench. I would think dead lifting is easier

  • Not when it comes to raw bench pressing.

  • the world record bench is higher because they wear benching shirts that make them stronger (literally) the world record deadlift shown here is performed raw, the world record raw bench press is much lower, somewhere between 700 and 800 pounds if I'm not mistaken

  • it is 715 by scot mendelsom

  • i read somewhere that ryan kennelly did around 735lbs raw.

  • what does raw mean

  • o thats cool were did you read it at

  • It is because deadlifts suit only give you an extra 50 pounds or so, while squat and bench shirts can give you an extra 200-300 pounds.

  • ya but they are still benching alot of wight

  • whose holds the record now in 2009?

  • still him, he boosted by 5 pounds

  • fucking amazing.

  • from this angel it looked good, 3 whites

  • These guys run out of grip before they run out of strength a lot of times. I wouldn't be surprised to see Andy do 1100 plus if he was allowed to use wraps.

  • this is VERY impressive...i wonder what he can clean

  • Andy increased his world record last week to 1008LB, 457.5KG. Awesome lift! Looked easier than his 1003.

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone know what the world record currently is in the raw deadlift? in any weight category?

  • i think its 920 or 930 by the same guy there isnt much carry over for conv pullers in gear

  • who gives a fuck how much he weighs. The dude deadlifts over 1000 pounds.

    awesome vid !!

  • Awesome power - but was that locked out? What do the rules say about finishing a deadlift? Anyone know the link?

  • They do not care in the Wpc...

  • Does anyone knows his height and weight?

  • He stands about 6ft/1.83m tall and weighs around 376 lbs/171 kg.

  • doesn't look like he weighs anything near that.

  • Well, he does. Look at him in his training videos, and you'll see. What's more, powerlifters have very dense muscles, that's why they often look smaller than their actual weights.

  • yeah, i guess some of those dudes standing around are pretty huge too anyway.

  • Whoa that's absolutely insane. 171kg and raw strength this guy should be a lineman in the NFL.

  • This is to funny to not comment upon. Hes NOT anywhere near 170kg.

  • For fuck's sake, he's. Why dont you do more research before saying shit?

  • Ahahahahaha, ignorant suits you the best!

  • You are a fucking idiot!!!! I know Andy personally And he does weigh 165-170kg. check out his web site and it will tell you everything you DON'T know about him! And as for calling people ignorant kids you are the ignorant one ya penis!!!!!!!

  • 1. 1003.1 (455.0) *2.84X Andy Bolton (Great Britain/70) 11/4/06 (455.0 kg. @ 160.0 kg. Only man to deadlift over 1000 pounds.) (Lake George, New York) (WPO)

  • Tell me how anything I said is inaccurate.

  • That wasn't a legit lockout. It was DAMN close but not a full lockout. I'm sure he's done far more in training though so its inconsequential.

Deadlift is the only true lift anymore. Bench shirts and Squat gear - not to mention the fact that you hardly even have to go to parallel these days (not a legit squat by any means) means that the Squat and Bench records have surpassed the Deadlift record and physiologically that makes zero sense.

  • Mr. KnowItAll

    U

    Know

    Nothing

  • You make zero sense.

  • yeah, it's strange what counts as legal in terms of squat form. i seem to see a lot of the big guys leaning forward a lot to give the appearance of squatting low but their legs barely seem to touch parallel.

anyway, in terms of records, i wonder if most of the big guys are built more for squat and bench than deadlift. deadlift favors small frames with long torso. of course, there's also the fact that bench press is more popular than deadlift.

  • cause they could own your sissy ass dont watch vids like this and make stupid comments that you obviously know nothing about

  • the same reason why ppl want to be the worlds fastest 100m runner

  • The raw bench record is 715 lbs/325 kg, vs 1003 lbs/455 kg of deadlift. Some says that a bench shirt can add 40% to what u can normally handle, but I believe it can do more than 50 %.

  • the bench is assisted. they do two records for that event. my mate tattooed "1003" on the inside of his forearm.

  • yeah you would think the WR dead would be sufficiently higher then bench.

  • the world record deadlift is less than the world record bench. Does that sound weird to anyone else.

  • the deadlift suit does not support as much under a dealift that the benchpress suit does under a bench press.

  • do the suits make that much of a difference, I mean traditionally arent the leg muscles much stronger than the chest?

  • it does make a difference because there is not much help in this suit u use at deadlifts. but as u can see, the squat is well over 1200lbs so yes, traditionally the leg muscles are stronger, but u will be amazed when u see how much a bench shirt help under bench press competitions compared to in deadlift competitions. the raw WR for bench press is 715lbs and the shirted is 1050lbs. pretty sick, eh? the shirt makes a huge difference.

  • Bigfuckin deal!

I can do curls with that shit!

    LOL

  • I'v seen people deadlift 364 kg or more, but at the same time has great difficulty deadlifting 236 kg stoneballs? Why? Anyone knows?

  • Different leverage and grip. Same reason machines are easier than barbells which is easier than dumbbells. Harder to grip and balance

  • sooooo i dont know what deadlifts are but did he jus life 1000 pounds

  • He was clearly still pulling it up with his legs bent when the referee gave him the signal.

  • look at him stand straight after the lift, his legs were not bent, it just appeared that way because of his huge quads.

  • amazing he could lift with that embarassingly gay music playin

  • It was probably a motivator..."I better stand up or someone will try to fuck me in the ass"...Probably even the reason he got the WR

  • strongest deadlifter= strongst man!

  • He is the strongest deadlifter ever, and so what if he is fat as fuck? No one is perfect!

  • coool

  • my idol

  • aha... its only 1003 pounds... its not such a big deal... if it would be 1003 KG then it would be something

  • yeah............. except you probably need to weigh 600KG to pull that off

  • First deadlift over 1000 lbs, pretty big deal if you ask me.

  • There have been documented cases of 1000+ dead lifts since the early 1900s, just none of it on film or pictures. And of course the lifters are long dead

  • must have been the aliens then huh? spooky if u ask me. idiot

  • cavscout you are a retard.. people back in the early 1900s were smaller and much less strong than the steroid-injected monsters nowadays

  • I'm assuming you're either being facetious or you are misinformed. Look up some of the strongmen of the early 20th century. Arthur Saxon did a two hand anyhow (lifting over his head) of 500 lbs, John Grimek was still squatting over 700 when he was 75 years old. Guess some people like being ignorant. . .

  • true, but there are always some freaks of nature with unnatural strength...

  • That is beyond impressive.

  • filcox, I think he did. It's just that his girth makes it hard to tell how far he actually went.

  • hell yeah, he is the strongest motherfucker on earth!

  • he sure is the STRONGEST, but hes not the most powerful or the best athlete, that belongs to olympic weightlifters

  • Whatever

  • Andy Bolton, You da man!

  • you only need 4 key strength exercises anyway...miltary press bench press squat and dead lift

  • Long live Powerlifting and down with bodybuilding <-- sucks

  • I used to brag about this all the time, but no one was impressed by it. At 113 lbs (ran off everything I gained) I dead lifted 445 lbs. No one was impressed but my teacher, but everyone would crap over some 250 lbs guy doing 550 , wtf

  • That is impressive, from knowing personally what it feels like to pull five hundred at 148. 445 is big especially at 113.

  • If you're not joking that's nearly 4 times your body weight. I have only one word for you....RESPECT

  • An ant lifts x-times its Bodyweight and nobody cares, only absolute strength ist interesting not relative ...

  • lb for lb strength is favored by shorter limbs, shorter limbs means less leverage against the muscle tissue which means better lb for lb strength, the best way to find true lb for lb strength of a creature is the cube root of bodyweight vs square root of lift.

  • ok well thats just stupid. shorter limbs huh? so shorter limbs on dead lift would benefit? the shorter the arms the farther u have to pull. long limbed people are good at DL generally, short limbed people are good at bench. squatting isn't necessarily a HUGE determinate unless we're talking about some1 who is 6' 9" or 4' 8"

  • Great attempt, but your right he DID NOT lock out completely :(

  • He didn't lock it out....NO LIFT!

  • i work wid da guy in da white shirt dave bulldog beattie and dis fella is the shit! andy bolton is the dogs people and if u dnt fink so try tellin him dat!

  • I'm not a hater, that was a fantastic attempt at 1003lbs and Andy is obviously incredibly strong but the legs weren't locked and the shoulders weren't back.Sorry but its true.I feel that too much emphasis is put on records being broken by the big names in WPO everytime they're in a meet.Lets have some consistency with the judging so everyone knows that this a true record in this federation and that the referees haven't just turned a blind eye.

  • for all you morons saying he couldnt deadlift 800 without a suit, He has pulled 805 for 8 reps belt only in training.

  • I read a bit of the two-page article in the English paper 'The Day Mail' about this guy. I don't lift weights, and I don't follow the weightlifting world, but when the columnist described 1000lbs as being the equivalent to 11 small/light men, I think 'that's got to be fucking heavy'. I only came on here to check out the video after reading the article. It's amazing that a human could lift that kind of weight. I think he's been training for 19 years or so. Well done to him for achieving this.

  • fake

  • ^fag

  • how the bloody hell can that be a fake ??? In the deadlift the bar is pulled from the ground , no tricks!!!after a record attempt every thing is cheched !!! he is without doubt the man!! respect

  • - This guy makes huge incremental jumps in weight from 933 to past 970 to now 1003, what next 1030 :S? 1060? 1100? surely not once again the greatest lift ever witnessed so far

  • - Forget about the lift, the grip strength you need to hold a 1003 pound bar is juggernaut and we certainly know theres nothing controversial about that 101 percent RAW grip, from what i can see that lift looks genuine however i'm pretty sure down the line he will surpass that 1003 mark and push it past 1020 barrier his 1003 lift looked pretty strong alot of further potential there

  • ageofempires=dumbass. PLers don't just Bench, Squat and Dead. Lots of them press a shitload and have good explosive strength as well.

  • ok good for u

  • all u fucking haterz are gay...ur just mad that ur not as strong as him u fucking weaklings!

  • not a lot of people are as strong as him....

  • weakling....

  • aaaand neither are you...

  • age of empires put simply, your are a dumb , newb of a cunt!

  • im no newb, i could max 275 pounds on bench on a few serious month of training.

  • big deal, your still a newb, newb

  • lol wut is this 3rd grade

  • by the way, where is your vid of 275 newb, nice cyber lifting!!

  • if i was cyber lifting i would say at least over 300.

  • ya its annoying all the dumbasses who come on here like they can lift 1000 pounds. or even 500. or say oh ya they are only good at squats bench and dead lifts...obviously more if they are what they look like.

  • thats wut powerlifters do, bench squat and deadlift u idiot

  • Exactly, the core excersises.

  • so u dont know of any other core lifts but those 3? wow ur pretty stupid.

  • What the hell? Those are the core powerlifting lifts idiot.I think you're some kind of retarded troll.

  • yes, but there is no point in testing all 600 lifts ever invented. That's why you just test the largest.

  • I don't know if you realize this... aoe, but when powerlifters train, they do more than just bench, squat, and dl. In fact, they do all of the regular gym exercises for bis, tris, lats, traps, chest, shoulders, core (and those are just a few on the upper body). They do this because increasing overall strength requires working all primary and secondary muscles used in the exercise.

  • Not really bis. lol. Biceps are useless.

  • no you'd be surprised how much your biceps affect your lifts.

  • There's no need to put any focus on them though unless you injure them and need to rehab them as a result. I don't know of any members on our powerlifting team that do any exercises with the sole purpose of bicep stimulation. Sure biceps get trained, but not isolated.

  • Agreed.

  • powerlifters do work biceps but at most once a week. sometimes not even that often. The brachialis muscle fires when benching. therefore we do at least train them. dont care if anyone agrees to this. thats just what andy, dave, jim, ox, and donnie have said. bicep tears often occur on DL because of the massive pressure the over under hand grip is. not many other bi injuries occur on the other 2 lifts.

  • as they say, curls are for girls, tris are for guys :)

  • That's amazing.

To all you naysayers, I hope you realize that nobody has ever deadlifted over 1000 pounds before. Stupid people.

  • ya i know that u dumbfuck, but raw that guy cant do 800

  • shut up

  • deadlift suits don't help anywhere near as much as for the other lifts.

  • I've got some work if I even want to be considered decent. 500 just doesn't cut it anymore.

  • Bolton is the fucking man.

  • so Andy,

do you have a prolapsed rectum after lifting such a great amount?

  • incredible but powerlifters are only good at deadlift, bench and squat, they suck at everything else

  • What's your point? Would you fault a brain surgeon for not being able to build a rocket?

  • Tell that to all the powerlifters who have gone over to strongman and done extremely well.

  • what else is there dumbass.. all you need is right there..

  • I'm guessing they could lift more than you in any other exercise, except sucking dick.

  • you obviously don't know much, go educate your self before talking S**t

  • You sir, are a dumbass... That IS their sport. That IS what they train for, for most of them that IS all they care about goal wise athletically... What are you talking about "everything else?" That's a pretty broad category right there.

  • get a life!!!"

  • i can benchpress 1000lb women on my penis

  • i can do 375 :(

  • take all drugs and he could never reach 1000

  • kane115, u r full of shit

  • he is, it should only take a month

  • That isn't really all that strong. I could probably do that if I just trained for a year or two.

  • i can lift 20lbs dumbells big deal!! lol

  • Were is the heavy metal music in the background?!, anyway, awesome lift Andy =D

  • Mark this date on your calender people!! That is just amazing.

What is up with the music?? Couldn't go with a little Slipknot or Pantera for 1000+ pound lift. They had to go with that damn song!!

  • Andy - You are the deadlift daddy!!

  • Light weight, Chuck Norris can deadlift more using his index finger. Only his right one though, as he broke his left one attempting a 3000 pounds deadlift.

  • The camera angle just SUCKS! but it stills great moment...

he may use a whole drugstore to make get that kind of powa!

  • Historical, first over 1000 pound deadlift ever.

  • holy fuck

  • Most excellent!

  • dammmmmmmmmmmn
