I really loved IY 1 !! and I'm liking IY 2 too. It isn't as great without Shin young but I love the girls.

I dont think the problem is with the 8 girls but with Mcs they are the ones who are in charge to conduct the show. Boom is not funny, the actor guy never does anything and the short guy...he tries but cant do it:( ... Honestly they need someone like Shinyoung and Bear...they always try to do something...in the first Ep i was already dying of laughter But Y2 rarely has those moments:( PLEASE CHANGE THE MCs!!!!!!!!!

They help each other secure camera time while ensuring they have enough themselves, they have good hosts who can blend in well with them, & everyone has a worth in this show.

Look at IY2. Everyone had high expectations on Boom, but now that he isn't as good, people are pinning their hopes on Lee Sugeun. I don't even feel the existence of Hyunwoo & their village chief isn't as friendly as in IY1. In IY1, they even had the

I thought that the new G7 was bad, but watching G8 now tells me that the new G7 is tons better. I agree with a lot of comments that G8 lacks Chemistry. G7 is so close with each other, that they can have a good time tgt no matter who they're paired with (excluding the already popular SunByung, Hara-Yuri, Hara-Vic etc). But look at G8. The maknaes are always tgt, & then SNSD are always with Woori & Yewon etc.

It upsets me to see Sunny's helpless expression surfacing everytime. She must be like us

@1UniversalMusic The refreshed G7 was'nt bad. Hara, Sunhwa, and Hyomin became funnier as they got even closer. Narsha was always funny anyway. People tend to forget the "new" G7 had to work in SIZZLING HOT conditions during the summer. Imagine being out on the field for hours under the sun. But still, they were funny. Things got better after they came back from Japan. G8 is just BAD. IMO only Yewon, Sunny and Woori. Suzy-f dull Jiyoung-annoying, i can go on n on..(:

Another thing G8 lacks and G7 have is the members' distinct characters. From this, nicknames were given. As early as ep 3, they were already teasing Sunhwa & Hyomin about being edited out. But they both manage to turn their "weakness" into an advantage.Although G7 competed for airtime, they also help each other for airtime by focusing & emphasizing on each characters.This can only happen when there's great teamwork & chemistry. This is why G7 is so special.

@fariz8888 yea i agree and G7 seem close to each other and they they complement each other well... the way they joke and play seem every natural it doesn't seem like they r trying soo hard to be funny... there r scandal bear and yuri, obssesion love betten hyomin and sony, kara childish joke. etc... i think original is always better..

I can see how soonkyu don't really enjoy herself in IY2 as much as how much she enjoyed herself in IY. Sometimes she looked kinda force. She's the only one that's trying to 'save' the show, I feel bad :( the others should really try to bond with each other! its like there're a lot of small mini cliques. they need to spread around....

I wish the girls in the second season wasn't so pampered. i like how the first season, they couldn't use their phones. they made their own bathroom & etc etc. i feel bad for Jiyoung that is trying too hard to be cute to make the show entertaining. and Sunny & Hyoyeon that also tries hard to make the show good. i miss Shinyoung unnie, she was like the center of G7.

The more I watch G7 the more i think G8 is a failure. Never mind the G8 MCs who everybody seems to be complaining about, but the lack of chemistry of G8 is the biggest factor. G7 look like they went to the same highschool together and get along so well.

@fariz8888 omg!! I couldn't agree more.... I just don't feel any connection between them... and I cringed when I watched the first episode... I was hoping they'd do the whole "pick up the Idols while they're still half asleep thing" but they went with the "bring them all at one place" I feel like G8 don't really show their real selves *excluding Soonkyu* the MCs are fine, but it would have made the girls more comfortable if they had a girl MC they could follow.

@Coniathree MCs are fine? I love Boom (all though the teeth joke is getting old), but Ji Hyun Woo is just so boring!! But I agree with the rest. It does not seem like the girls are getting along or having as much fun as G7 (just look at Hyoyeon, she kinda looks like she's forcing herself to smile most of the time)

@Ieatsoyabeans Yes Hyunwoo is boring but if i had to choose between Hyunwoo and Boom, I'd rather choose Hyunwoo, bcuz Boom is very annoying and does not lead the G* like Taewoo did with G7. Taewoo and Shinyoung, from the beginning knew that the show is about G7, and treated G7 as such. Boom is busy trying to be funny himself. Btw, Sunny must be very frustrated about the whole thing. She probably wished the old G7 n SY are there. I think Song Euni/ Shin Bongsun shud replace Boom

@fariz8888 omg!! I reckon! Boom is busy with making himself funny that he forgot the whole idea of the show was to showcase the IDOLS! and not himself.... Taewoo was good to G7 and it shows how close they became through the show itself. They should have put 1 female MC to balance out the all male MCs... I feel like the G8 can't get close to the MCs because they're not comfortable! Euni, Shinyoung or Bongsun should come to the show... or Adult-dol Narsha!

@Ieatsoyabeans I know what you mean, i sort of feel bad for Hyo... and as much as I love Jiyoung it just feels like she forces herself to be cute... to much aegyo in this show. Hyun Woo is boring and Boom is to busy trying to make himself funny, they should either replace Boom with Shinyoung and Hyun Woo with Taewoo... and why 8? 7 is just fine! now they can't do those games where one will always lose and have to do everything... *Sunhwa xD*

@fariz8888 I don't think it's the girls faults. The early episodes of G7 were pretty much held together by Shinyoung. If you watch when they changed 3 members out, any time Shinyoung wasn't there, it got really awkward. Boom seems to be more used to skits and scripted comedy, whereas Shinyoung is best at improv. I guarantee that the show would be just as good if they brought her back

@Lanthaneius IMO, all variety shows depend mainly on chemistry between cast members. There's no doubt SY was funny and helpful but look at heroes, IN2D, family outing, G7, heroine 6. In IY1, they are always divided into 2 groups & the group without SY are generally on par w/ Sy's grp "ent. wise". In ep 10, SY came after more than half of the ep, and i didn't even notice she wasn't there. Bora, Jiyoung Hyoyeon did much better when they were guests bc G7 was accomodating & fun.

@Lanthaneius About the "refreshed" G7, in ep51 they hyped up the awkwardness between Hara & Juyeon bc they were paired together (ep50) but didnt talk much. They didnt edit them out bc the discussion about them in ep51 was very funny. If u watch prev eps Hara & Juyeon are very funny together (I can list which eps if u want). SNSDfans didnt watch the new G7, but they were 100X funnier than G8. Hara Sunhwa Hyomin became even funnier as they got even closer with each other

@fariz8888 What I mean is the SY held them together enough in the earlier stages for them to get comfortable with it. They also had a lot more to do last season because they started in the middle of harvest season, so they were running around helping people. By the time they started to slow down and just do variety a lot of the awkwardness was gone. I'd put good money on the entertainment value ramping up in Spring ... even in the fishing episode they said it was kind of off season.
