  • Killer improv! Def sounds treyish. I'm checking out your lesson videos but if you could what scales were you using/thinking about when improving?

  • @TheGrinProject Thanks! This is all A major diatonic and A minor pentatonic

  • something outta santana

  • Nice job!

  • @RockinMan09 Chords are Chords are: A, E, A, D, A, E, F#, E, A

  • oh *looks at the date of the video* that explains the christmas-like tone =) beautiful man, really, keep it up!

  • describe your axe and setup!

  • @grillinIstheLife I think most of it is described in the video description. Fender Squier strat modified. Using a seymour duncan hot rails in the bridge position. Blue and Silver lace sensor pickups in the neck and middle. Running into Pod UX2 studio, using the "Auld Lang Syne Rock" preset which, if I remember correctly, uses a Fuzzface and a Marshall amp emulator.

  • @machogriz sorry I noticed that right after asking that, thanks for taking the time to respond nonetheless, take it easy and rock on dude

  • @grillinIstheLife no problem! I'm always happy to help

  • i need a lesson or tabs for this

i am scottish and a guitar player

love this song your versions amazin

    loving the improvisation :D

  • Do you mind doing a video lesson??? or atleast tabs please....

  • I'll see if I can do a video lesson on this one before the new year

  • THANKS!!!

  • Your improv is so lifeless man, speed the song up and stay away from the minor pentatonics, use the relative major ones.

  • "Audio recording was done all in Garage Band and video editing was done in iMovie."

so you record the audio first then you record the video right? or you do it at the same time?

plz reply, i need help for this..:D

  • I record both at the same time. I start recording video in iMovie, then switch over and record audio in Garage Band while iMovie is recording video.

Everything is played at the same time because its all improv and I wouldn't be able to go back and record the video of it afterwards because I wouldn't remember everything I played. Hope this helps.

  • ohh i see now.. so you sync the audio and video later rite?

    well, thx btw. :D

  • It has a really great clean tone, check out my other video "Jazzy Blues in Bb" to hear it in action

  • i hav the exact same guitar

  • ahhhh i love when you go into the solo!!! very well played!

  • Loved it... Just outa curiosity, wat tabs did u uses if any for the traditional part,if any, not ur solo section (although if u had tabs to that, it would be great)

  • I actually played it all by ear, but if I get the chance, I may tab it out for you. The solo was all improvised, so that probably won't make the tab. Thanks for watching!

  • great! Nice tone. Very expressive. Thanks for posting.

  • hey i'm the first to veiw this pretty good i play guitar too so yeah good luck with what ev
