I know how that is! Cut out all that bad metal, make yourself an aluminum patch panel that is as conforming to the body as posible, rivet it in, and undercoat the heck out of it! That is my trick and it looks decent, but it will last more than a week and wont hold water like bondo and wont rust. Its my way of cheap, but pretty good body work.

Oh gee I remember sand blasting without a face mask. That sucks I probably breathed rusty dust..hope not
