You can tell the kid that made the hit doesn't see the puck much since he shot it from the blue line. He was a defenseman yes, but that shows signs of unknowingness its thats a word. I used to throw the puck away when I first started playing. Hit was solid though.

Some of the comment were very observant...Yes, the rink is old, built in the 50's for figure skating. The size is smaller. Is a HS team, just small. This was a playoff game in the 3rd period. Brick was up 2-0. The kid skating with the puck was supposed to be one of the best players in the state at the time. #11 (D) was a sophomore and got stuck on the ice for a long shift. He was exhausted and just shot the puck! He was just happy to get off the ice! He now plays in the EJHL.

Yes he was 1 or two strides out of the zone ok? yeah there were 2 D but if you watch after he shoots the puck 2 of his teammates appear and had one to his right so obviously he had support! and you dont dump the puck in on net when ur going for a change that gives the goalie time to move the puck. you dump it in the corner to give ur team a chance for a quick change before they get a chance to handle the puck. Good try.
