hey man can i train planmches every day, like i men imdoing advanced tuck planches till i build up to straddle, can i do them like every day? or like 4 times a week and 2 days off or mondat tuesday, thursday saturday?
You're supposed to do planches with your hands facing backwards. And they're actually harder to do if you face your hands backwards as opposed to forwards.
Unless you do some shitty bboy planche with bent arms, hands forward and a bent body which makes it way easier ... not to mention look like shit.
Just like how they all bend their legs and pike and shit when they do flares. It's wrong, it looks bad, and it requires way less strength.
@kinnokaizoku Are you serious?! Go up to a wall and imagine you are going to do a planche on the wall. Put your hands in the "backwards" position and put them close to your hips where the hand placement should be on a planche. This feels "comfortable" and "natural" right? Now put your hands in the "forward" position and slide them down to your hips where the hand placement should be for the planche. Unless your wrists are VERY flexible, your arms will end up bending trying to reach that position
@kinnokaizoku But I completely agree with you about Bboy planches. From a gymnastics perspective, a bboy's planche would be the laughing stock of the competition. From a bboy's persective and average human being, it would suffice because it looks amazing since keeping your feet off the ground in a push up position is a already a daunting challenge in itself. If you're a gymnast, EVERYONE expects you to do all those crazy strength moves cuz you've been training your whole life...
@jrk987 AGREE. we lose mark for not pointing toes. not pointing toes = 0.1 deduction. the skill is either A/B=0.1/0.2. after deduction that value is either 0 or 0.1. everything has to be perfect.
you just did an azaryan to cross......that's freaking amazing
