  • kool are you 10,11,12,13??

  • that vid was taken when I was 12, I'm now 13.

  • manky. But wow! Especially at 0:33! Incredible!

  • You're not just flexible or even super-flexible, you're superduper-flexible! :-) How much is natural, that is how far could you band back before you started training?

  • Well I had basically all of it, the only part I basically learned from my training is the different poses.

    -Erika =)

  • hey,

are you self taught? you're very good by the way!

    good luck

    ps. im a contortionist too

  • Thank you =)

I've been self taught for the past 2 years, and before that, I've had the aid of various types of gymnastics, dance, and circus arts. Although my flexibility was natural, it always helps to have some support =)

  • Oh I see, I started recreational gymnastics at the age of 7, quit, and then began contortion 5 months ago

  • do you have any exercies on back flexiblity i really want to be a contortionist too.

  • Try and stretch a little every day, and eventually you will get better. Try stretching in different positions, such as bridge, and lying on your stomach and arching backwards.

  • thanks erika!

  • anytime =)

  • hey i also wanted to ask do you know how to do the contortion handstands?

  • I'm not quite so sure I know what you mean, do you mean a handstand but arched over in different positions?

  • yea you know like you go in a handstand, then you do the same thing you do on the ground like a triple fold in a handstand.got it now cool

  • Heya if you look at 00:17 could you explain how to hold yourself in that position with no hands?

I have been trying but i think you need a strong stomach =]

  • You really need to arch hard and reach back as far as you can. Try that and see if it works, if it doesn't someone else might be able to explain better=)

    -Erika

  • oooooouuuuuuuuch! its like ur baq is gonna break! keep up the gr8 work!

  • wow thats reli gud...wat age r u??

  • Im 13.

  • dosent that hurt... it hurt me watching... great job though gurl... :D

  • haha thanks,

It doesn't hurt because I've been doing this for 11 years. =]

  • you say u do gymnastics r u on a competitive team?

  • I was on many competitive teams for gymnastics. Now I am just on a competitive dance team.

  • what level r u?

  • I don't exactly know what you mean. Care to explain?

    -Erika

  • W-O-W..that is all i can say..;p

  • no problem =P

  • Do you study at west coast contortion school in vancouver

  • No, sorry I don't.

  • wow, you are very gooooood!!!!!

    great job =) i like it !

  • THIS IS SWEET AND I LIKE UR SHIRT

  • i just started doing contortion and i also get those comments like: doesnt that hurt.. i think that is so funny:P great job! keep on practicing:)

  • Hi, good that you have confidence in yourself.

I can also do all of those things and more, if you would like, I can demonstrate more flexibility in some new videos for you. I used to do silk and lyra contortion, to match your claim, and I was in a show for handbalancing, one and two hands.

  • Can you do straddle (box) splits. It's incredibly what you can do. What does it feel when you stand in front all that people and start performing your act, or maybe, when you contort in front of your friends? Good work, keep on training! ;-)

  • Thanks for the comment, Yes I can do the straddle splits. It's an exhilerating feeling performing infront of an audience, its very cool to show everyone what you can do. Thanks! =)

  • WOW! nice video!!!!!!!! :) Just a question, why in the description of the video, you start referring to you as in first person but the last part it refers to ericka as in 3rd person? :)

  • I was kind of wondering that myself=P

Thanks for pointing it out, I'll change that.

  • like it

  • thats really gud nd at such a yung age aswel..wel dun x

  • Thats weird, but kool. i wish i could do that. Does that hurt when u do it. It looks like u have no bones in ur back or stomach!

  • Thanks=)

For me it doesn't hurt at all because I have had years of training.

I get that comment quite alot=)

  • thanks for all the comments guys, soon ill be posting another contortion video. I havent been stretching much lately but ill have something on there for ya ;)

    -Erika

  • That's awesome keep up the good work:)

    Roro

  • great flexibility, how far can you stretch over the splits?

  • WOW! You can almost do a head seat And a triple fold! Thats amazing! are you home trained?

  • Thank you for your comment :)

That is a video I entered in a talent contest and won. Unfortunately that night I wasn't fully warmed up. No I am not home trained, 10 years of gymnastics related sports and 1 and a half years in the circus has qualified for my training.

  • ooohh!! iits coool
