Point Three: When you first set up ANY computer, they always ask you what language you want to use. So that alone would explan that. What *I* couldn't figure out is why after she had the video translated, it sounded like a normal man speaking with an accent. Would've made more sense to me if it had been Jarvis' voice or even a robot-sounding voice b/c if you translate audio into english, why would you have the speak w/accents?

Notice how in the film after he becomes iron man as he's making different versions he destroys a lot of his cars and his house in the process and doesn't even care. Even the last time he leaves his house as ironman he just flies through the ceiling and ruins it. B/c those things are no longer impt to him: Saving Pepper and the world is.

Point two:

I think the fact that Pepper wasn't a "babe" was probably the point. The fact that here is this frivolous billionaire with 15 cars who gets rich on wars and sleeps w/so many women he can't remember them is surrounded by all this superficial wealth but has nothing "real". When he becomes iron man, he starts to appreciate life more, and I think he just had more of an appreciation for Pepper's soul than her looks.(cont'd)

Most of the movie I just tried to suspend belief and go with it.

Point one: I guess it would've made more sense if Tony had the suit on since he was wearing one when they were ambushed. I just figured that's what the guy was wearing when they kidnapped him and since his clothes weren't torn by shrapnel he didn't get a change of clothes.

Can't remember either of us saying we thought 'a guy in a flying red-gold robot suit which runs on a computer called Jarvis is real' but regardless, in some respects I'd say it's even more important to have some of the elements of any film like that to be truly based in reality to balance out the more fantastical elements.

Beginning with your last comment: I hoped to see some misstakes made in the movie. The 'translating' I truly think is one, so my compliments for that.

Pepper Pots should have bigger t*ts is something which to my opinion has nothing to do with 'misstakes' or 'wrong' with Iron man but is a poorly placed remark on what you wish for yourself.

The video was never intended to be a serious commentary on Iron Man, and to be honest I normally disagree with a lot of the things said by my friend. So yes, of course some of the points he made were ridiculous but that's where 'hopefully' the humour comes from.

I'll humbly suggest based on your comment that you avoid our video series '12 Reasons Cloverfield is Shite' - but it sounds like you probably will! ;)

#3 I did not like how not only did it translate into fluent english, but it used the guys voice. Such evidence could be argued as falsified if the software is that sofisticated.

1) the INSIDE of the cave was actually cold as hell. No matter how hot it is outside, a few tons of solid stone are pretty much bound to keep the inside cold. As for the "comfortable" factor - I'm guessing it was to show what kind of a man he was.

2) Gwyneth Paltrow is hot, period.

3) That bothered me too, actually, but think: "translate" is an ENGLISH word. If you type it in in ENGLISH it's pretty obvious what language you want it to convert into.

also the translation thing, if u listened to the beginning ov the movie, tony went on to creating advanced robotics. his house and company is ran by an artifical intelligance called jarvis. the advanced robotics would ov ben able to translate it, and the computer is already in english, why would it automaticaly translate it to frence, u'd be pissed off if u did. . .think about it next when u critasise a good fucking movie

I took that progression to show that the blond was cheap and easy and available, good for a one nighter-but for actually falling in love and relationship material he was more likely to fall for the intelligent red-head he had got to know well over the years. (the red head 'Put out the trash'). Kinda a reflection of his development from thoughtless shallow businessman to aquiring a conscience-he looked deeper into what was really of value to him as the film went on.

But it wasn't that deep lol!

90% is pretty accurate - although I'd say that the shirt and tie thing is a bit nit-picky! But then that's what Mr.F does, picks up on stuff you wouldn't think about.

I loved the film. ALMOST a perfect superhero movie... except in the last 20 mins where it's your usual blockbuster CGI hitting eachother. And Paltrow's character, which was a strong headed woman throughout the film suddenly becomes a damsel in distress. That didn't feel right with me.
