you really dont. i was at knotts berry farm in so cal when this son of a bitch happended. our tower was going up and the mo fo thing started to shake like crap
i live in redlands, and i felt the chino hills earthquake. Usually, by the time you realize its an earthquake, its done and over. As far as people telling you to duck and cover, thats not a priority. The "Fight or Flight" response takes over and you run...its kinda natural reaction
there are so many people who say what you should or shouldnt do it is hard to say what to do--and i live in california!!! if i am with in 10 feet of the exit to a building you bet your ass i am going to run outside--probably even less. you usually will hear the quake coming depending on how far away you are from it(the epicenter). either way the safest place to be is OUTSIDE! earthquakes dont kill!!! it is the structures that do!!!(of course depending on the magnitude)
Great wake up call...I was very surprised that most people who were born after the late 80s did not know what to do...last thing you want to do is run out of a building.
My 11 year old cousin wanted to run into the basement lol.
what should we do? hide under the table or go to the nearest doorway? i wasnt sure what the hell to do while this was happening i was just scared as hell
lol nerd

If there is an earthquake in Southern California we have to have Lucy! I wish Cal-Tech would go back to her as its chief earthquake spokesman.
