  • Oh my was Gary Hoey's hair gorgeous!

  • I really like this band . . I'm so disappointed they didn't make a video for thier awesone tune called "Turn it On" . That song would have went to number #1 easily if this band had some exposure when they released it.

  • I just read on SleezeRoxx that Joel Ellis, his son and company plan on getting Heavy Bones back together this summer.

This is gonna kick alot of ass.

  • This band are exactly what the music industry need right now well actually years ago

    Brilliant stuff

  • Gentleman ! Welcome to Real Rock n Roll !

  • You Alt.and Nu Rock Bands out there wondering why your Music doesn't sell ? Well Rock is in the toilet because all of the fun has been removed from it. And If you think i would pay today's ticket prices just to watch a Band in torn jeans & tee shirts whining ? Not ! But i would pay for this. Get the hint ?

  • Thft looks and sounds good. Wish I could see them live.

  • Muy bueno, Frankie Banali, Gary Hoey, anda company.

Muy buen sonido y buen cantante, lástima que duró muy poco.

  • music kicked ass back then the music now sucks

  • So wish these guys would get back 2gthr, this is the very essence of Rock!!!!

  • 6 stars

  • The bass player was in Hellion and something else I think.

  • @TheLegionsOfMetal - Frankie is a F'in beast on Crimson Idol!!!!! I listened to the ever livin shit outta this cassette

  • I take it the singer was a fan of Motley Crue. Haha.

  • @MagicMikassa

Ha, Vince Neil wishes he could actually sing instead of whning

  • I had this CD and lost it along time ago. Dang its not on amazon or itunes

  • GREAT Song! ~ This CD Kicked ass! ~

  • @ParrisVstefanow He's trying to get his first band, Cats In Boots back together.

  • Anyone knows what happened to the singer?

  • @nasscmw Last I heard Joel was living in like Ohio or something.

  • I found this entire album in the newsgroups. It is one of the finest records of the Hair Metal era. Were it not for grunge, these guys would have owned the music scene. This record is awesome!!!! Oh, and I'm 42, so I know what I'm talking about.

  • This is the kind the music the media doesn't want you to listen. It's too good.

  • Joel Ellis,lead vocals,also from the band"Cats in Boots"(Shotgun Sally)

  • Shit I didnt notice before that Frankie was in this band and Gary Howie either.

  • Loved where hard-rock was going with tracks like this... then... ouch!

  • this is one of the most underrated songs ever

  • HEAVY MEETTTAAALLL YEAH MOTHR FUCKR :IO

  • Gary Hoey Rules! and Joel Ellis extremely underrated vocalist.

  • @thelawler Don't forget Frankie Banalli... drummer for Quiet Riot, W.A.S.P. , and others... \m/

  • @TheLegionsOfMetal I agree. I love the drumming Frankie does on WASP's "Crimson Idol"

  • This song is so awesome. It's amazing how 20 years later, I can still find awesome "hair" band rock. The 80's and early 90's was my favorite time for music. I tried to find this song on Itunes, but no dice! I found CD's on Amazon, but they are like $30! This song is so cool!

  • @ohio1998 Have you had any luck with getting your hands on the disc? I am more than willing to copy it for you. Love this disc. Wouldn't sell this disc if I could prevent it. Sell my liver first!! lmao

  • @TheLegionsOfMetal , No idea, but I'd love a copy or if you can share music files that'd be cool. It's too bad they didn't make it big.

  • I fuck**g love this

  • This song RIPPPPS!!!!!!!!!

  • sick guitar riff!

  • Great tune!! It came out at the end of the heavy metal trent. But still holds up in any era!!

  • anyone know where i can get this song? can't find it anywhere!

  • @ababbey

    E-bay (Hevay bones cd)

  • Trancendental Meditation

  • i remember these guys from when i was like 7

  • cool video, kick ass song!!

  • Baby Gary Hoey! LOL! ....This song still crushes, though!

  • Amazing band, truly an underrated gem. A shame they did not come earlier. ROCK ON!!!

  • This was a FANTASTIC album. A shame it was a one hit wonder. T-Ride was another...

  • @TheLegionsOfMetal t- ride???? what was that ?

  • @kingvrage T-Ride had only one disc out, then fell into obscurity like Heavy Bones. It was self titled. Great stuff. Not in the same vein as Heavy Bones, but check it out.

There were tunes up here for You and your girlfriend, Zombies From Hell, Luxury Cruiser and a couple more for the cd. Should still be on here. If not, I can hook you up with a copy via email or what have you. The real disc is hard to find... never tried torrenting it... so couldn't tell you...

Enjoy... horns up high \m/ \m/

  • they should have sold this song to motley crue and made more money off the royalties.

  • This band kicked ass to bad there couldnt be a one time show!!!!!Cmon Gary call your buds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have this album. It's great. But something needs to be said:

Grunge did not kill hair metal. Hair metal killed hair metal. Any of you ever see Decline Of Western Civilization Part II? One scene in that movie is one of the reasons why grunge became popular. Warrant's Cherry Pie video is another reason. There are some hair metal bands that I like, but most of it was crap.

  • @DMurph44 I agree with you 100 % Odin and London were two shitty ass bands that come off looking like a bunch of jackasse's in that..not to mention Chris Holmes

  • sounds pretty fuckin' sweet

  • one of the most underrated bands of the day..as were cats in boots, babylon .a.d, etc the list goes on. Joel Ellis has an amazing set of pipes imo.

  • The band members are: ex Cats In Boots singer Joel Ellis, Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali, guitar player extraordinaire Gary Hoey and ex Hellion bassist Rex Tennyson.

  • FRANKIE IDOL

  • razzlefan..it is frankie from quiet riot. one of the best drummers ever!!

  • the singer looks like joey belladonna from anthrax

  • @Travisl90 i think the bass player might be jason newsted.

  • @lester5192 ABSOLUTELY not Jason!!! If I remember correctly, his name is Rex Tenneson. That the time of this release Jason had already joined Metallica ( now known as pansies..)

  • @lester5192 uh yes i know it was just a joke from what that travis guy said.

  • The good ol'days when you had to know how to play to be in a band...

  • METAL AT ITS BEST!!!!

  • the drummer also, from what i can see of him (his hair is all over the place), he seems to look like frankie banali from quiet riot

  • geeez....that drummers hi hat is going all over the place! lol......

    AWESOME SONG

  • is the singer's name paul shortino? no?? lol he is a good dancer btw and sammy curr of course lol

  • great track great underrated band. I just found this album going through things the other day. I had forgotten i owned it what a killer album /,,/ /,,/

  • @Diopriest2

Hi Alex, they sound great, never heard them before. /,,/ /,,/

  • that singer is my best friends dad he is a halirous guy. Im not going to tell you his real name but is not joel ellis.

  • KICK ASS KNOCK-YOUR-DICK in the DIRT ROCK 'n' ROLL! HO HO HOEY!

  • Wow, they rock! Love J. E. he can sing, and has some nice moves - yeah babe!

  • I first heard this song and a couple of others on a Burton snowboard vid back in the early 90's it was hard as hell to track the album down but I finally found it at Amazon,to this day its still one of my fave's to ride too!! Rock on I say!!

  • does anyone have the lyrics for this song? i've listened to it over and over and still can't figure out a couple of lines in the chorus. it's driving me crazy.

  • @ledzepgirl68 hey! I have this Album, the whole thing rocks..

    chorus

    then i see

In the night she comes to sweep-a- me off my feet

All hell fire couldn't make her a liar

    In the moonlight charity's balling

throught the door another memories calling..

hope it helps with the crazies LOL!

  • Look this video with other view!!! The camera does not give us one cut!! They got it with no interuption!!!!! It rocks!!!

  • this is one of the songs where you just can't help but turn it up and bang your head!!!!!!!!!!!! \m/

  • The Only way to download this song is through a torrent. Im trying to do it now, but its going really slow, I need someone to seed it.

  • Heavy Bones was a great band!!! 4am kicked ass!

  • Comment removed

  • They're just a few years to late. Any earlier and they would have been pretty big.

  • I can't find this song anywhere...totally out of print! So frustrating!!!

  • @atrain670

I got the CD through Amazon, the thing cranks!!

  • Formed by former Cats In Boots vocalist Joel Ellis and Gary Hoey in the early 90's. They recruited Rex Tennyson (bass, ex-Hellion) and Frankie Banali (drums,Quiet Riot). They recorded their debut with famed producer and session guitarist Richie Zito, but by 1992 the music scene wasn't very kind to sleazy metal bands. The video for 4:AM T.M. saw very limited airplay and the album shamefully sunk without a trace. Hoey would resume his solo career and Banali re-teamed with the revamped Quiet Riot.

  • have been huge*

  • another band thats been a victim of being denied a chance of getting huge due to the grunge scene, these guys SHOULD

  • Frankie is AWESOME on those drums.... beating them like they owe him money! :)

  • my friends dad is the singer

  • That's awesome! Assuming you're telling the truth. Tell him we want a Cats In Boots tour and album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song. I know it's a music video and everything, but the guitarist has plugged in his guitar.

  • anybody know where i can download there album?

  • GO FRANKIE!!

  • this song fuckin rules

  • I love how they knock down the speakers. Now all they need is the drummer to "spontaniously combust"!

    Love Gary Hoey.

  • New Frankie Banali is called Freakshow with Jell LaBar from Cinderella and it EXACTLY like this -heavy as hell rock!!! Just came out 7/09

  • Totally agree that this is one fucking superb CD--worth whatever you pay for it.

    Best song--"Anna"

BUY THIS CD--DO NOT RIP THESE GUYS OFF AND STEAL IT FROM SOME BULLSHIT FILE-STEALING SITE!!!!!

  • i love how this song starts out calm then it gets heavy! thats awesome!

  • That's Frankie Banali from Quiet Riot on the drums...

  • is that nick menza on drums?

  • Never seen this one before.

    Joe Elis roxxs.

    Miss cats in boots :(

  • Anything this Singer did was cool.

  • Frankie Banali

  • Man i had this on Cassette. It took me forever to get it on CD. I found a copy on ebay It cost me $35.00.Its worth every penny. One of the best albums to come out in 1990. Stay Heavy and be cool

  • Rocking is ma busines and busines is good!!

  • This album is a true masterpiece from start to finish!

Gotta love the mic sweep, leg split, hair flip and dance trick from Ellis!

    Simply BRILLIANT! ♥

"...86 the ol' wet dream and get what you need..."

  • Use emule is the best rock downloader

  • This is such a great video for such a great song. One camera, one shot, no editing. I wonder how many takes it took them to shoot this. It's very sad a band of this talent only did one album.

  • gary hoey baby!!!!!!

  • Im in love with Rex♥♥♥

  • aww so am I!!! He's yummy :P fukin aceeeeeeeeeee....i love this song

  • One of the best hard rock songs ever. I've never heard of them.

  • This song rules all!!!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know where to download this song?

I dont have limewire and I need help...

  • Download limewire it's worth it!!! and keep on rockin!

  • Kay...thnx

  • Great Band why they botherd change it to Heavy Bones from Cats In Boots, I mean it still sounds like Cats In Boots to me, maybe a bit heavyer.

  • heavy bones rocks!

  • First time I saw this video was on Headbanger's Ball. I had too much to drink and was puking when it was on, so whenever I hear this song I feel slightly ill... :) (Smooth Up by Bulletboys was on after it, so same effect)

It rocks that someone FOUND it, can't find this song ANYWHERE!

  • gary hoeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..............

  • Joel Ellis is a very underated singer, his band Cats in Boots very, very underated, one of the true buried treasures of this genre. Wish I could hear all of the unreleased/japanese tracks

  • It's a fuckin shame sleaze rock was mostly sided out by those assholes in Seattle. A good portion of the sleaze bands only lasted 1-3 albums anyways before changing members or dis-banding altogether due to inner fueds. You people can still experience this era of music by checking out clubs in the bid cities where a lot of these old bands are playing. Beware though ladies, these guys don't look like they used to. In fact most of them look like shit from the years of "Vampire" life style. Giddy up

  • I LOVE JOEL's MOVES!! XD (starting at 44 seconds)

  • Whats the Bass players name.

    hes hot

  • The bass player is Rex Tennyson!!

  • thanks for uploading this video! I have been looking for it!!

  • Another ACE band, we all needed to hear so much more killer music from this great band, such a shame their personal differences caused their breakup. All of these guys were so talented!!!

  • I agree

    Such good musicianship here

  • god this band fricken ruled. joel ellis was such a fuckin good singer, hoey great guitar player. frankie banali is just all around cool. FUCK GRUNGE, i wanted to hear more from these guys!

  • I sure agree with you, fucking grunge shit killed all of the talented bands us older people realize this fact..and now the world has the fucking vulgar no talent shit rap as mainstream..Will this rap shit ever fucking die??????

  • I totally AGREE!

  • Joe Ellis? What's he done besides Cats and Boots?

  • Some one name the names of the members in this video and post their former bands they were in. More music like this. Tesla/Kix/Badlands/Lynch Mob/Ratt, etc. That's what they remind me of!

  • Joel Ellis - vocals

Gary Hoey - guitar, mandolin, dobro and background vocals

Rex Tennyson - bass and background vocals

Frankie Banali - drums, percussion and background vocals

  • Oh man, a prime example of a Gary Hoey guitar solo. Just awesome.

  • really solid record, this song kicks ass..i got in to this band because of Cats In Boots (same singer) Unfortunately, this came out in '93 I think..a time when this style of rock was not popular..too bad, but they'll always have that solid album to their credit.

  • Yes, same singer for Cats In Boots. Awesome lead singer (for vocals and personality) and band. LOVE ALL THEIR SONGS for both Heavy Bones and Cats In Boots.

  • you're wrong,tangled..this was one of the last metal videos which was shown on headbangers ball & mtv before their tranformation to the crap porgramming they have now

  • The singer rocks!! He completes this band. Raincheck Please! (wink)

  • The cd is kick ass!....Great riffs and vocals. Go but it if you can find it.

  • Frankie B.... Fuck Yeah!

  • Shit. I never heard of them. They rock. Post more, please!

  • The guitar player is Gary Hoey. He did make it big time!

  • holy shit, that guitar solo rules....Hoey is unappreciated for sure. how he didn't make it big time is beyond me.

  • gary hoey was my guitar teacher's guitar teacher <3

  • He's not quit a household name, but Hoey has a solo career with a major fan following. He's still playing many shows and releasing new albums.

  • what happened to them?

  • they broke up.

  • What an awesome kickass song right here!

  • Gary's solo- yes!

  • I don't know about the bass player but the drummer is none other than Frank Banali from Quiet Riot and Wasp fame. Great song and album to bad they couldn't get along.

  • I saw these guys by happenstance at the Marquee club in So Cal....loved 'em.

I don't think they split 'cause they couldn't get along. I think it was because they were lumped in with all of the "dime a dozen" crappy bands that were out there at the time........as a matter of fact I ran into Frankie Banali (the drummer) a few years ago, and he told me it was "a great band at the wrong time........"

Anyway, awesome video, I had never seen it, have to go dig out my CD now and have a listen!

  • the bass player is carlo cavazos bratr, who was also in hurricane

  • YOu are wrong my friend. The bass player in this video is Rex Tennyson from Hellion.

  • carlos cavazo is a guitarrist and his brother was in hurricane.

  • Wasn't carlos cavazo in quiet riot?

This sounds more like gary hoey to me

  • yeah carlos cavazo was in quiet riot

  • carlos cavazo is a guitarrist and his brother is tony cavazo and is bass player...

  • Did the bass player and drummer play in Hellion?

  • I think you are right about the bass playerm Rex Tennyson. He played on Hellion's Screams In Ths Night album.

  • They were awesome... heavy and grungy...just the way we like it. You can find the cd on ebay sometimes.

  • So does anyone know what is Joel Ellis doing nowadays?

    T.

  • yes

  • Hey not bad i like it

  • One of my absolute favorite songs, and videos.

  • Joel is a friend of mine, rock on babe

  • Awsome Indeed!

  • Hoey at his best. This shit smokes! thanks.

  • Rock on!! Heavy Bones

  • Thanks for sharing this! Heavy Bones were great.
