Stockholm Syndrome and cognitive dissonance are basic concepts taught in introductory psychology classes everywhere. Under 30% of people held hostage develop Stockholm Syndrome. This 30% of the population would have to alter the thinking of the other 70% and carry this thinking through say 200 years, just doesn't seem likely. Cognitive dissonance does make sense (even if it is sometimes thought of as the 'sour grapes' theory).

Not all black people are dumb. However on average one could conclude that their average IQ as a race would be lower than all races(with the exception of maybe mexicans). Their are exceptions to the rule just like their are extremely athletic white people or tall asians.

It's hard to say whether blacks are inherently less intelligent than whites, Asians, Hispanics, etc. Because black culture largely developed in opposition to whites, whether as slaves in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, or colonial Africa. So, let us go back to the start of all this - unfortunately the culture from which came the slaves who were brought to where ever was not able to defend itself - why was that? Any viable culture must be able to protect its self from unwanted intruders. Otherwise it is not doing its job. The problem is with the culture - black culture seems, in my opinion, to be one that does not support education - real education. I am referring to the dominant black culture. Personally, I don't think the problem is Stockholm syndrome. We all know the reason. Black people in the West still feel like victims of white racism, and that they can just blame all their problems on white people, while they sit at home and reap benefits given to them by the government. Stockholm Syndrome and cognitive dissonance are basic concepts taught in introductory psychology classes everywhere. Under 30% of people held hostage develop Stockholm Syndrome. This 30% of the population would have to alter the thinking of the other 70% and carry this thinking through say 200 years, just doesn't seem likely. Cognitive dissonance does make sense (even if it is sometimes thought of as the 'sour grapes' theory).

Then the mothers of the black kid jump up and down saying they want justice. Sounds like the kid had it coming. Then the judge convicts the pharmacist of Murder.

Interesting points. I give you credit, you are an educated black person who has the stones to intelligently examine the question of black intelligence. I don't know the answer to the racial IQ gap, maybe there is merit to your Stockholm Syndrome theory. But I'd bet if blacks as a group decided to devote ALL THEIR ENERGIES toward academic excellence-- I mean, with the same intense drive as East Asians in the U.S. --I'm sure that higher black intelligence scores would result. We are potentially as smart as any other race.
Black societies and culture are currently in a crisis that happened to us by our own mistakes, by other people who accentuated our situation through oppressions and exploitations and by the environment of where most blacks live. Our current achievements tend to prove that we are less smart but it's a temporal situation through the entire lifespan of the human race on earth.

wow this is a good analysis- I've just recently come to this conclusion also. Sadly there isn't real solution to this aside from genetic dillution into the majority population- this is what happens elsewhere in the world. In Central and south america for example- The original natives that survived the spanish genocides and small pox pandemics were left either to die on their own or breed with their conquerors which created the mestizo people we have today. This is the future of blacks in the US
