I heard about Sigur Ros because i own an icelandic horse, and am very interested in the culture and language. But Sigur Ros is something different entirely, so incredibly awesome and mindblowing! Whenever i hear hoppipolla, all pressure just fades away :)

The video is also really well done; no need to sit quietly at home when you're old, if you can still go out there and have the fun that most people simply seem to "forget" about....awesome :D

This in my opinion is the best song ever made. Such a simple but wonderful piano melody, beautifully sung song with what is the best orchestral breakdown of any song ever. I agree with most of what you have said there, but I highly doubt Chicane was trying to take the limelight from Sigur Ros by sampling it. In all honesty, I think Chicanes release has just shown how beautiful the song really is to the public, many of whom may not have ever heard of this song or of its writers had he not done so. Songs are mixed and remixed every day, and the way I see it Chicane has done a good job. I think Chicanes video portrays how emotional the song is. Either way, well said.
