i have a similar setup... kept stock cat's and just cut right behind those, went straight back and put two flow 40's on it. only thing i HATE about it is i welded them with no rubber hangers or anything to take ANY vibration out.... whole car shakes when i accelerate from around 1800-2500 rpm... but the sound is INCREADIBLE IN IT. minus rattle. but i like what you did and im cutting those cats off right now!

do you still have cats on? and how does the O/R H pipe sound compared to straight duals with the long tubes? i have true dual flow 40's with no crossover and stock headers, cats and internals, i'm definitely wanting long tubes, i'll post as a video response but i'm wanting to tighten up the tone a little in my car if you understand what i'm talking about, the tone spreads on idle, its deep, low, and growls, but i'm wanting a more focused rumble, would long tubes help this?

Man long tube headers must be wirth it....i have the same set up.....O/R H pipe, flowmasters, 2.5 tips.....but no headers and mines alot more high pitched at high RPMS

All you need is o2 simulators or a tuner to turn off the check engine light. I passed emissions with this setup.

No flowmaster 50's will sound bad. I would say go to exhaust shop and buy a setup from them. That what i did. True dual exhaust with 2.5in pipe and i think 3.5in chrome tips with the dual 40's.

Check out stangmods, americanmuscle, and lmperformance. They will probably all have the parts but you can check the prices to get it cheaper. I got my headers and h pipe from those sites but i got my catback from the muffler shop.

mine is a 01 v6 so my engine isnt a 3.9 v6 like ur its a 3.8 v6 and i have the flowmaster 40 series delta flow muffler but i dont have a tip at the end just the old pipe that bends down under the bumper

Thanks. I really didnt buy a kit but i bought Mac Ceramic Longtube headers, BBK O/R h pipe, and for my flowmaster 40's catback i bought at the exhaust shop and i also have a Cai on too. Check out some of these sites: Amercian muscle, stang mods, and lmperformance and youll save alot of money if you install it yourself.

No i doubt it, it should be fine. But if you do get longtube headers you have to get a shorty h-pipe but if you leave your headers alone you have to get just a regular hpipe.
