Karnivool are on tour in the US? Hahah that's awesome, are they big over there? They're probably the best Aussie band around at the moment, i've seen them live a few times they put on an awesome live show. Wish I could see FTM and Karnivool at the same gig it'd be insane.

I don't know why Karnivool isn't huge in the U.S. I've had to introduce them to so many people. My rhythm guitarist introduced them to me back in October so they're fairly new to me also. I just can't get enough of them!!

the guy down V there talking about the guitar player's ability is probably a shredder or something like that everyone and shredding is cool SOMEtimes the guy "critiquing" doesnt know that the "shredding" part is the piano player the guitar doesnt need to shred but fill in the gaps just like playing Jazz. it works out Perfectly. Fair to Midland Rocks i saw them at Edge Fest.
I think it was just that particular performance, and/or the recording. I just saw them live when they opened for Serj Tankian in Portland and the singer was amazing.
just another TOOL fan that cant come to terms with that fact that someone out there is more intrigueing and sings better than Manyard James Keenan.. Look pal, i love manyard, but he had to pass the torch, darroh runs shop when it comes to vocal ability
im trying to think of something to add but yeh ur right he does pawn the whole vocal thing... Although that thing he does with the skin over his vocal chords makes me cringe he is the shiz. Id have to say claudio sanchez from coheed and cambria is pritty cool too i love how the guy can really project his voice pitch perfect.
i wasn't being an ass, i am critiquing him because i am a guitar player myself and i thing the guitar work for this band could be much better...they have an amazing singer, once of the best imho but the music is just plain average
im a guitar player 2, and i think that there guitar playing is very unique. u cant get much better, i mean, u dont hav to hav very complex rythms and things to sound good. The guitarist plays simple but very very clear and makes it sound very nice.
I also play guitar, and I am big fan of Fair to Midland, it's just I don't get what the fuss is over Cliff's playing. It's very good, but I think the keyboards and vocals make this band, not the guitar playing.
I'm a guitar player too but I think his playing is very original and I love it. He might not do sick solos but his rythm playing is very good and he plays some very sick riffs
@Edwardwas i totally agree. The guitar is great but no reason to make a huge fuss. there are some truly original riffs but ya the keyboard and vocals make the band

The vocalist for Karnivool is the shiznit fo sho. Can't wait to see both FTM and Karnivool together in Louisville, KY April 8th 2010!! So stoked!
