This is the song I return to every time I feel hopelessly behind, mind fucked, destroyed, and empty inside. It reminds me this isn't over till It's over...get up man, it's time to keep moving. You've had your rest.
thats skerik from the frog brigade on saxaphone... and there's a mountain dulcimer on the cover. what a strange band. reminds me of a more hippie version of tortoise
OK EVERYONE!!! If you love this kind of stuff or you like the musicians in this...you must know it's from people who play together in a lot of side bands together....type skerik or mike dillon in any slot in the music world and you'll find les claypool, (tuatara), critters buggin, skerik's syncopated taint septet, ponga, garage a trois and many more crazy awesome skerik (saxophone), and mike dillon (percussion)...speak of the devil garage a trois is playing in nyc on dec 19th!!!! come see!!
what a good song. what would this style of music be? any suggestions? i have been frantically searching through jazz files and nothing has satisfied me more than this piece. i know i love jazz, but there are so many variation of it, i dont know where to look to find something like this.
Went to my local used LP shop to find what I could only describe as "xylophone spy music," and the owner had no idea what I was talking about. Rightfully so, I suppose. Thanks to Google for helping me find Tuatara. A fantastic start. Now if I can just find some more... maybe something from the 70s?
Double Whammy brought me here......thank you Denis Leary!
