  • haha using a paladin like me ^^ Funny you use the hotbar like that x.x i just used the quick cast menu

  • Will a huge fan of Baldur's Gate like this game? Is it online multiplayer pvp? Do people still play?

  • well thats...just dandy! 0:56 :)

  • Khelgar is without question the best companion to have during major battles. He can easily sustain enough damage to kill Neeshka, Elanee and Quara combined, and he has more than enough strength to compensate for any of the weaker members of a partyy.

  • Comment removed

  • unless theirs magic being thrown around, great will save their khelgar u.u i found Neeshka to be awesome, she can take out enemy casters in a snap. Infact im using khelgar alot less on my 3rd play through, im trying to be good with Qara, and in a major battle, if its not too extended, AoE magic just cleans it up easy. Besides, a good wizard can tank as much as Khelgar =p

  • @DarkDain The difficulty with using Neeshka for me was that I was playing a rogue/swashbuckler. While I did not have her sneak abilities, I did have all of her other skills with nearly the same degree of advancement; thus, from a non-combat persepective, she was not terribly useful. In combat, meanwhile, I could considerably more damage with a similar degree of precision. Khelgar took damage and carried things, I dealt melee damage and hunted spellcasters and our caster used offensive spells.

  • @ShrougerNite By the end of my playthroughs, Neeshka was easily the best physical damage dealer, i made sure to enchant her weapons as such. The Sneak Attack bonus just owned things. From a non-combat perspective, she was great company XD. loved the dialogue. Any unique dialogue with her, as a rogue yourself ?

  • @DarkDain I will definitely admit that she was a fun companion. There were no new dialogue options for being a rogue, that I remember.

  • @ShrougerNite She was my favorite, on my second play through i was a Paladin and that was hardly mentioned by her at all (despite her attitude towards them) But if you play ass a Tiefling she does mention it at first but i didnt get farther than that, it was just a test. I wonder if she still likes you if your an orc :P. My first play through i was kind of an evil wizard and when i sided with the shadow guy and wiped out my party, she was the last one left :( had to kill her, so hard ;__;

  • watch?v=Oudt5l045og

    nwn free cdkeys serialcodes

  • Too bad this game overheats your computer like crazy....

  • @VampiricDragon666 i think you need a better computor if this over heats yours

  • @VampiricDragon666 maby yours but not mine maby you have an old pc

  • @gio010quin It's not that old. The game doesn't work well with some graphic cards.

  • @VampiricDragon666 Modern mid-range laptops still have problems with this game. Poor optimization is the main culprit -- and a general failure at programming. Still, with expansions and patches, it's a good game imo.

  • Khelgar is my favourite character :3

  • love this game!

  • very impressive as I never noticed any pausing - that's quick decisions!

  • Infinite mana? O_O >_>

  • @kouvolkova There is no mana. Mana is beginning to be a shit way of doing things if you ask me. This game requires careful thinking if you want to be a successful caster. (That or just cast buffs.)

  • @kouvolkova nope you get a set of number of spells per rest(or u can set them depending ont he class)

  • @Kidanis Thx man ya see =] i played it, good game

  • Should I get this game? I love the first one and the toolset is nothing short of brilliant but it looks like they've changed a lot, you know, added too much and made it awkward and slow. Also I havea pretty bad graphics card. Could someone help me out?

  • @HaloSquirtle really don't, it sux

  • @HaloSquirtle Do take in mind that the camera control in this game is horrendous, and it does require a pretty decent system to run on. That being said, the first expansion, Mask of the Betrayer, along with Mysteries at Westgate, a premium module, are both very good, and as far as I remember there are some pretty good fan-made mods out there too. Not as many as the first game still has, but still. If you're looking for a 'just the campaign, no mods' rpg, I recommned Drakensang.

  • @HaloSquirtle if you played the first one and liked it then you will enjoy this one. They havent changed the toolset just the layout of the inventory all spell casting and such is relatively the same they changed the graphics driver so if you have an issue with the first one then you may want to consider upgrading

  • @HaloSquirtle you need at least 2 GB RAM and a dual/quad (4.0in total should be minimal) and maybe a nice shader 2.0 256 card thats minimal set up u need but i would recomend higher if u hate lag

  • @Kidanis i really hope you're joking in this post..

  • @KarGlat nope this game need s shader model 2.0 and i would recomend a dual core with 2 gb at least

  • @Kidanis " 4.0 in total should be minimum" i meant that part.. are you talking about mhz?.. coz mhz from cores in dual quad octal cores is not added into one big number lol.. imagine one processor with 30k mhz :) and than overclock it :D

  • @KarGlat ohh that ...my bad it was a typo I meant 4.0 minimal for single core lmao xD

  • this game is awesome but for some reason its lagging on my computer it used to run better -.-

  • i have decent specs and can run oblivion 30-60 fps most of the time, but for some reason in certain areas in this game i get massive stutter and framerate drops, dunno if its just me or if everyone has this problem

  • latest patch fixes a lot oif the performance issues, game has always been known to have optimisation issues though, i finaly got it to run good with, QUAD CORE,2X 260gtx CARDS (sli) 4 GIG RAM, and it runs smooth 1600x1200 with everything on full but yes it does need a better PC to run on full than oblivion.

  • there's no reason a game with this level of graphics should run slow on a PC like that. It reminds me of how Halflife 2 stuttered like hell for know reason and the never did really fix it. Even with a 250 GTS and 4GB RAM G-Man still says "Your time has c..c..c..c..c...c..come again...n..n..n" LOL :P

  • best single player rpg since BG2 imo

  • what is bg 2?

  • baldurs gate 2

  • If it half as good as BG2 it's good.

  • @GodwinCarpenter It's even better if you like dungeons and dragons rules.

  • I want this.

  • in this game online how chage the arm and the armor ???

  • hey iam planing on geting this game is this good for online play whats online like can you grp quest and stuff in online?

  • is this game online?

  • i think it is

  • Barely

  • so i sould just go guild wars?

  • If you want to battle online with your friends, then yes, MMORPG or table-top roleplaying online is your choice.

  • U need to buy expansions to play online, i dont have em, but i have the expansions for the first one, also the expansions make singleplayer better

  • you dont need the expansions for a lot of the servers that use a mods, a lot are vanila NWN2 modded

  • well i go tall the expansions now, the game is awsome

  • yes u can take ure char but ull get like just looks and ure own written story , since the skill issue and lvl has to be at 1 unless u use a trainer =)

  • Is It possible to Import My Baldur's Gate 2 Shadows Of Amn/Throne Of Bhaal Character Into This Game?

Coz A "Loading" Message Said I Can.

    Ty

  • It was for Neverwinter Nights 1

When they were developing Baldur's Gate 2 they already had the NWN played, and they had in mind the ability to import from BG2. However when they realised how more advanced the game engine was the idea was scraped, though the loading screen message in BG 2 remained.

  • Nah; they'd originally intended to let you do that, but scrapped it eventually. That was for NWN 1, actually.

  • you play many chars at the same time?... give me some information please..

  • no u play one character, just with companions, you create your character, and he/she is the hero, and u'll meet others who help u. u can click on their portrats to swap over to them.

  • thanks friend

  • so does it play like baldur's gate 2?

  • wat are the system requirements??

  • XP (vista works too)

    2.4Ghz Processor

    512MB Ram

    5.5GB free HD space

    4X speed or faster

    DirectX 9.0c (included)

    A decent Graphics Card :P

  • a graphics card that has a minimum of Pixel shader model 2 supported

  • Music is EPIC WIN

  • lemme gues... crossroad keep...

  • wow this game looks actually decent... hmm :) something to master before Diablo 3

  • @Aurelius27x yeah who knew that NEVERWINTER FUCKING NIGHTS would ACTUALLY be DECENT?!

  • @Aurelius27x nwn1 is so much better dude trust me, u know except for the graphic of course cause it's kinda old...

  • this looks like a fun game

  • Well, like most games, it's really boring in the beggining, especially if u're a spellcaster, but as you become stronger, the game gets quite fun. Ahh... when I remember my omnipotence with as a wizard in NN 1, those were the good times :)

  • very exelent game i finished the nwn2, nwn2 mask of the betrayer and nwn2 storm of zheir but the end of the nw2 and mask of the betrayer arent very good and be more good if in the storm of zheir you use the same character of the two recent versions.

    Exelent Game ;)

  • is this game a startegy gaME AND IS IT GOOD?

  • rpg and yes (its very simulair to baldurs gate)

  • wtf?? of course its a rpg

  • an fps???? yes it does look alot like doom and quake... and even halo!! you are very intelligent to point that out.

    LMAO /facepalm

  • /sarcasm?

  • Stupid question, is this game out yet? it looks good

  • yes :)

  • what class are u in this movie?

  • if you want a good party, then alwys take the dwarf ( froget name) Qara and that crazy bard. ( froget name to) then is your party very strong.

  • is this battle hard cuz i soon be doing this battle

  • Tip: take Qara with you. And make sure you have enough alchemical fires/fire bombs/blast orbs.

And once you get to the point you need to keep the gate: Elanee and Amon; put fire wall (and warlocks-what-you-call-it-again-fire-wall) right inside the gate. Still ain't going to be easy, but you should atleast stay alive...until that Shadow-thingie...Then. Start praying. Really. But after that, sweet, sweet victory...mwahahahahaaha...khem. Paladins don't do evil laugh...nope.

  • i like isometric view better. nothing beats it.

  • im dling it NOW lol

  • do u have to pay monthly if so how much and is it a online game?

cuse this game looks awesome and i wana start playing

  • No, you don't have to pay a monthly fee.

This is primarily a single player game with 2 expansions which are practically whole new games.

You can play on many NWN2 multiplayer worlds (like MMO) which are custom made and are FREE to play on. You can also play the game co-op multiplayer with your friends.

Multiplayer is stable now and in the next patches they'll implement an auto-downloader for multiplayer so people don't have to dl the needed files by themselves to join a persistent world.

  • I remember this part, defending Crossroad Keep from the shadow army. The battle was long, this is only a part of it. But it was hella fun.

  • is this pay per month?

  • no buy once play forvere

  • hey how do i record a vid like that?

  • fraps software

  • wtf, they borrowed so many sound effects from NWN1. I still haven't gotten this game because I heard there's basically no stable way to play multiplayer...

  • thats true, but once you get it stable its hella fun

  • I did it - My warrior, Khelgar and Qara - kick ass

  • Have Qara and Sand perma blasting the towers and you can deal with them in like... 5 minutes, Incendiari cloud in the exits and to nice Delayed Fireballs each should do the trick ;)

And if also happens that your main character is a Warlock (like mine) using Eldrich Doom with fire damage it's a piece of cacke :D

  • ahhh, wish my graphics card wasn't suckish.

  • looks like wow, is this online?

  • It can be played online, yes; though primarily, it's an offline game

  • the rule of thumb with never winter and assuming nwn 2 is that its best to stick with offline. or play the campaign with friends in multilayer.

  • QUE FOD4

  • this game rocks

  • We play solo or we have team like in IWD or BG ?

  • hmm i dont know whether to get this game or not... is it like baldurs gate 2? cos it looks like a simliar style.

  • Yes it is D&D Rule set. its not quite as epic as baldurs gate. but its okay.

  • I had the original neverwinter. I liked it a lot.

  • Sadly, this game does not run on my one and only vista computer. I'm stuck with World of Warcraft till they come out with something or till I get an XP.

    Sad, isn't it?

  • My Comp can't handle NWN2, so I'm not sure, but there are ways to play NWN1 on Vista. So perhaps they have come up with something for NWN2 as well. Check their forums.

  • HELP! can you please tell me how to run NWN1 on vista? or at least how you made it work. I bought the Diamond disk, but cant get it to work. The screen goes black right after the intro...

  • I am sorry, I don't have Vista. All I know is that I have seen a thread a bout running NWN1 on Vista on the NWN Bioware forum.

You people will have to google, coz I haven't found out how to post links in the comments...

  • ah man, i remember all thoes sounds from when i was playing nwn, wierd its still the same voices and sound effects?

  • I just started this game, and am really enjoying it.

Any recommendations you can offer regarding character class, stats, etc?

  • Depends on what you enjoy: Do you like being in the middle of a fight, do you enjoy throwing spells around, or does the role of a supporter draw you in?

  • Well, I took the Fighter class, because my friend told me that's like the default class to take. I'm around level 8 now.

Another thing: How does the on-line co-op work? I've been waiting to try it out with a few friends, but am not really sure how it works. I mean, do you have NPC's running around with you, or is it just you and your three friends?

    Cheers for the advice.

  • Is this dude skilled? or is it just that this game is complicated?... i dislike the fact that you have to play different party members, it can be annoying try to play 2 or more different classes at once. Im thinking of buying this game, for those who have it... is it worth buying?

  • heh.. ahh the diablo generation..

  • Stupid dick, i love diablo but I also play NWN and NWN 2 I dont see how playing DIablo makes you any less skilled

    Dragon Age FTW!

  • The story is great, but the gameplay is kinda mwah, because your helpers' AI is just so friggin' stupid, you HAVE to control them, or die...

Overall: worth buying, playing 1 or 2 times, and then to be put in your ol' dusty shelf of games.

  • yeah i have a shelf like that :P its got many games that really never got interesting on it. I bought this game about 2 days ago, and i dont understand the weapon damage, its measured in 2d6 or something i have no idea lol. And without mana... this game is just not like anything i've played before :P its very different.

  • 2d6 means from 2 to 12. Like 2 dices ;)

The whole system of the game cames from the old good table RPG. And you can always pause the game with backspace and then make your tactic. It's nice to play diferents characters. Good luck. This is a great game. Look for Baldurs Gate 1, 2 and Neverwinter Nights 1 to see where did this game come from. Those games are realy great bettter than any MMORPG.

  • kk, i sorta understand that :P that would explain the roll chance for the different types of saves. Im still getting used to it, i rolled a fighter, so hopefully that is a good starting class (i just click all reccomended stuff, seems to be working) =D

thanks for the help on weapon damage :D

  • lol not

  • god i want to play this but i'm in college and have barely any money and have to wait till next year for my next refund

  • is this online

  • nope.

  • cooooooooool

  • Ouh, think I can run it all maxed out?

    Quad core 1.9 GHZ AMD

    2GB DDR2 Ram

    160GB HDD

    Nvidia 8600GTS 512Mb Gfx Card

  • With a 1.9 Ghz processor, you will most likely either not be able to play, or you will have to set most things to a minimum. The game requires a 2.4 Ghz processor, though my 2.2 runs it well enough. The recommended processor speed is actually 3.0 Ghz or more...

  • dude, he said quad core.

  • Well that is more than slightly embarassing. Thanks for the correction.

  • NWN2 only uses 1 core so the number of cores doesn't matter.

  • Well he did say Quad core, so it should be fine, and I use the 8600GT and can play lots of good games with no problems, so he should be safe...

  • yes u can run it maxed.

  • hey all my thing pass for the requirement but not my graphic card its a fx 5200 geforce can i still be able to play?

  • I think I'm quite content with NWN 1, there's something charming about the blocky heads the fact that women are either extremely fat or beautifully slim, and men are either huge oafs or superheroes. Good to hear the same old 'Eboom selunu sumadga' (or whatever it is) spell casting phrase. I always thought the voices in NWN were brilliant.

  • i think is "Eloom solenu samathka"...

  • Well according to nwn2wiki(not sure if this is true or not)you can have a party consisted of npcs.Which sounds really cool, but would even cooler if they had dialogue between each other like in bg2.

  • well they do...with some you can have romantic entanglement or they have an arguement with each other. (love the verbal fights between the dwarf and the tiefling) Others even may betray you. Obsidian actually did a pretty good job with the party interaction. Never had a so lively NPC companions with so much personality and soul since BG2. NWN2 is great game that comes close to the huge content of BG2

  • are obsidian the same guys who made kotor

  • yea obsidian made kotor^^ gameplay in NWN 2 is similar to it

  • Obsidian made Kotor 2 and nwn2; both kotor 1 and nwn 1 were made by BioWare. ;) (Who made Mass Effect, very simililar to Kotor)

  • Well i've never played nwn2,but i have nwn1,so i'm wondering if it really is hard to play, also,is this a party i see going,i miss the parties from the bg series :(

  • hey do you need a strong computer for nwn2?pls reply cuz i wana take it

  • Celeron 2.4ghz, 756mb ram, GF 6200 and it runs fine on low details. Well it sometimes lags but it's caused by my weak hard drive.

  • hey guys could someone message me a response, what should i get this for? MAC or PC, i have a really good MAC but idk what to do.....

  • Ever notice how most Mac users are skinny? It's because of all the calories they burn because they can't shut the fuck up about how great their Macs are. What is it about Apple that makes its users unable to shut their mouths? Everywhere I go, there's another asshole with a Mac preaching about how much better Macs are than PCs. They regurgitate lines directly from Apple's marketing campaign, like "it just works.

  • the only reason people say that is because they are just confused as of why people buy pc's over mac's when Mac's are so much more user friendly and easier to use in general. Its like Playstation being more superior over x-box

  • PCs are like pencils and macs are like crayons. Sure, pencils break once in a while and they need to be sharpened constantly, but only a fucking retard uses a crayon past the age of 6.

  • nah. Pc's are for people who want to play games. Mac's are for people who want to do everything else. Cause pc's are pretty much worthless unless its for games

  • some of you mac head fanboys have said that mac was better for games.

  • well, games do look pretty sweet on mac's.

  • that the end when you attack the shadow lords castle?

  • The graphics still looks blocky and unorganic as hell, like the NWN 1 graphics. The Infinity Engine still looks much better.

  • Lol your char have verry low atack mate...you just hit once every 3 or 4 sec:))) the druid rocks!!!

  • Loved this battle with my cleric >:3

  • I used to have this game... It was so awesome :D

  • yeah man really massive battle

  • Wow, you're comp's a God, when I play it on mine, it's like playing a crappy stop-motion game.

  • i cant play oline and my game is orginial

  • rofl "well thats.... just....dandy!"

  • i can play it on 1024x768 max details and 4xFAA

    AMD x2 3800+ OC @ 2,7ghz

    3gb ddr2 ram

    nvidia geforce 9600gt

but it runs only with 20-30 fps

  • Maybe it's a stupid question but... this game will run with everything maxed in 1024x768 with a fps higher than 35~40 on a machine like this?

    Core 2 Duo 2,4ghz E4600

    Geforce 8600GT 512mb DDR2 667mhz (Zogis)

    4GB RAM DDR2 800mhz (Markvision)

    Motherboard - GA-G31M-S2L C2D;C2Q 1333mhz DDR2 Gigabyte

    Thx for the attention. ^^

  • It should be,I can run it on 1024*768 and almost ewerything max(shadows off)on a 7600GT(256MB),P4,1GB RAM. In great battles it decreases to 25-27,but it's the same on full low,so it's the proc's fault. :(

  • yep im a cleric to lvl 8 and they rock

  • i have it all turned down on my pc too, and still runs slow.. :(

  • Aye, these people have gaming computers that are really only made for games that cost quite a lot of money.

  • this video made me want to play this game again.. there some new winternights 2.. some addon
