  • you was susposed to put it in neutral

  • this may work on a toper but not any anything bigger, but atleast you got it on vid

  • haha lol .....they failed

  • did they die?

  • last shot of the little kids face at the very end says it all. covering his face with his hand 'oh the shame'

  • долбоебы

  • yalll suck at sailing

  • here is a lession for you boys and girls, slow it down to one sail to come in to dock untill they invent water brakes ..was a nice boat

  • Why is it when people ask you "what three things would you bring with you on a deserted island?" , no one ever replies, "A BOAT"

  • I watched this 8 times and I am still baffled; what in the fuk was this guy trying to do?

  • came in a little hot!!!!

  • love how he pulls in the jib after crashing!

  • @albochenski i know! its as if he was trying to scratch the boat up more by pulling in the jib. LOL

  • u should probably learn how to sail before u go sailing

  • Rent a Skipper lol

  • lol wtf was he doing?

  • The failboat has arrived

  • RENT BOAT!!

  • That's one way to stop a boat. Throw the dead weight overboard then smash into something solid!

  • All aboard the Fail Boat!!

  • Nice! You cannot stop a sailboat going downwind. On many boats its nearly impossible to drop the sails. The right thing to do would be to come across the docks, turn INTO the wind, then gently back into the dock slot.

  • 70 people did this before.

  • Us power boaters get a bad rap. I have seen so many of these "sailboaters" who do this stupid stuff at the launch. Had a guy in his little sailboat do something just like this to me at a lake. Moron came in at a decent clip with his sail up! Fool could not even see me at the dock because of the sail. I was yelling at the top of my lungs at him to turn to starboard, he nailed my boat. I say to him, "what are you doing? Did you not see us?" Then he says, "Is that a new boat" What does that matter!

  • Thank you...long day without laughs...now I have laughs.

  • Guy on the dock:

So you want to buy a sailboat for you and your sons?

Sure you can take it out for a test drive. You know how to sail, right?

  • downwind dock, with full sails, how dumb can you be.

  • Suckers

  • idiots

  • that fish we caught was great.. Oh My God A WALLL!! see ya!, *BAM*

  • MARK JANNNN!

  • 1 boat, on the rocks please

  • so where exactly was that guy going? Jumping off the boat onto the invisible dock?

  • comin in HOT lol

  • theres nothing funny about that.......

  • Ship of Fools?

  • lol, the last frame the kid facepalms

  • 2 lessons 1 take down the fore sail,

    2 come in slowly!!!

  • kinda weird how a wall of the marina/pier-thingy was stone. I wouldnt like to moor my boat on that!

  • Maybe you should take down your sail gigantic idiot!!!

  • And the man behind camera enjoyed habour cinema.

  • A good berth in the dock is the one you make in one piece, no matter the style.

  • LMAO ! We've all hit the dock but, at "Mach 2" ???? LOL, watch the guy on the dock go down. I love how at the last second the guy abondons the boat and pull's on the sail line in a last ditch effort to stop (He actually increased the hull speed by grabbing more wind) adding to the impact of the sudden stop !

  • @justanotherengine When going downwind you actually de-power the sails by sheeting in, however i think it was just coincidence that he grabbed the jib sheet as he jumped out.

  • arivati

  • hahaha

  • he did a barrel roll

  • Sweet parking job.

  • take some sailling lessons

  • why did'nt he just hit the breaks...

  • @rcguy4373 breaks? a ship doesn't have breaks

  • @Sietze10 really? are you sure? lol

  • @rcguy4373 yes i am sure

  • @Sietze10 well if they dont have breaks than how do they stop?

  • @rcguy4373

when you have a engine you can put it in reverse

but if you have sails you can turn your boat in the wind and loss your speed

  • @Sietze10 the breaks would be to drop your sail and secure it before you get to close to the dock then paddle your boat to the dock.

  • @rcguy4373 that is a option but it is really hard if you have to paddle up wind

my point is a boat doesn't have breaks like a car ore bike.

and the guys in the vid don't know how to sail

  • @rcguy4373 wrong

  • Lol

  • How NOT to dock!

  • Doesn't work the same as a motor boat. Beautiful boat though.

  • VISITA LA WEB BOATSPORT PUNTO ES

  • OUCH!!

  • ooooo shit

  • u should have tacked into the wind you were on a solid run it wint stop you know

  • hahaha hoe slecht kan je zeilen zonde zeg !

  • AHOY!

  • hahahaha WTF xD

  • drop sail drop sail

  • Full speed ahead.

  • Wind's a b*tch! =)

  • Love the way the dad though at the last second;

"Fuck the kids...every man for himself!"

Oh, and that bloke on the jetty got totally owned by the sail. Apparently it's almost impossible to stand up at the same time as you're holding onto light fabric that blows in the wind!

  • i dont think nothing could have stoped me from dieing if i was thier

  • And so he discovered the only brakes on a sailboat are when it crashes into something.

  • MUUAHAHAHAAA xDDD thats really stupid .... hihihihi its the first or second time they sailed muahaha xDDD

  • Haha, wat a retards.

It must have been the first or second time they sailed :p

  • @sjem618 I was thinking it must have been the last.

  • @tryithere

    LOL

  • hay que ser torpe...

  • Before you get to the dock, make a U-Turn into the wind and ease the sheets.

Keep the boat in irons and sail it backwards into the slip.

Practice the maneuver out in open water several times first.

Can also lower the mainsail and come in under jib only, turn into the wind, ease sheets and drop the jib (if you're comfortable doing so much all at once)

But that's why you lower the main first - the jib is easier to luff and to lower, and is plenty of sail going downwind in this much wind.

  • You can even come in frontwards if you lower the main out in open water and then come in under only the jib. When you get near the dock let the jib sheets run all the way out (let the jib fly like a flag ahead of the forestay). Problem is you won't lose speed, so you better not wait until you're too close (the U-Turn method is better, and people won't immediately see you're a lubber)

Someone should teach them this before they sail.

  • throw the anchor! oh whoops wrong one

  • now that's a crew that's 'made for YouTube'......glad you got the camera out in time!!

  • Where is captain Ron when needed?

  • dick

  • lol, idiots

  • ABANDON SHIP !

    Old men first !!!

  • We get this all the time at my club, the mooring's similar and nearly always downwind. Noobies aren't allowed out on their own without an RYA L2. Doesn't help when there's a strong wind there's always 2-3 boats of noobies coming home on full sail scratching there heads and wondering what those shouts of "come in on the jib" from shore mean.

  • That's called throwing a human anchor, lol. the guy seems much more skilled in maintaining the boat than sailing it.

  • one yacht load of dickheads!!

  • @bigkiwial you should've been aboard!

  • crazy

  • hahahahahahaha

  • hahahahahhah.,

  • wasnt that uncle ron lol

  • retards, I can put that boat there in reverse alone...

  • quick everyone, the breaks have been cutt, every man for him self!

  • Drop the sail drop the sail..!!

  • Hay gente weona y esos giles

  • Who gave those stupid retards a boat?

  • When I first started sailing, I used to jump out, while still hanging on the sunfish, so that my body would act like an anchor to stop the boat. I never crashed, but it was embarrassing. :)

  • bastards

  • I laugh harder each time I watch it.

  • or head up in to the wind and back wind the main to put the breaks on

  • being chased by a craken were ya.

  • mooring with the wind under full sail eh? great trick

  • @hmmcrunchy

Not a problem if you know how.

  • noob :D

  • bastard of a captain he abandon the ship while the crew was left for dead

  • he tried acting as a human anchor retard

  • Heavy-wood boat' ayh

  • And that is your total yankee douchebag boater.

  • ahoy there shipmate. what a complete clown

  • why did that guy abandon ship? It didnt help anything.

  • He probably thought he could use himself as the anchor or he was trying to put the brakes on...hahaha!

  • That's why you drop sail and then dock. But those people are just idiots!

  • @anvil357 You don't drop the sail.. its a 14ft dinghy not a 40 footer!!:)

  • @boltonmerlin I stand corrected. But it's kind of funny though

  • land ho captain!!!!!

  • you set of noobies, it's pretty stupid to more your boat while running downwind in a dock.

  • why did you come into the dock wing on wing...........wow....you need some sailing lessons.

  • gilligans first solo?

  • hey dude youre suposed to jump in front of the boat. not off the side of it

  • thats an awfll and stupid way to stop the boat at the pear. Is the guy helming a beginer or wat?!

  • Ya don't come into a slip "wing on wing"

  • Hey gingerwooton, I think it really was the commodore of your RYS. He was out sailing so long he was afraid of getting scurvy, so jump in the water to get an orange.

  • gingerwooton your a beast and very funny!

  • That person puts their hand over their face at the end.

  • So shit happens, big fuckin deal...

  • LOL

  • that aint a sailboat, its a FAILBOAT!!!

  • HA HA HAA!! NOT

  • What a bunch of gaylords! What is the bloke doing rolling around on the pier - whilst watching his three mungo friends? And that munter who decides to throw himself into the water, what is he trying to achieve? Typical bloody Americans really, not a clue how to act in reasoned and sophisticated manner.

  • Hey pal thems fightin' words where we come from. Im sure you guys never have ANY maritime troubles to speak of. (Like almost losing an entire war to submarine warfare.) Everyone screws the pooch occasionally. Sometimes its just the learning curve.

  • gaylords....mungo....munter....wtf? Please insult in English, you douchebag.

  • Mate, subsequently the Americas cup trophy remained in the hands of the New York Yacht Club of the United States from 1852 or 1857 (when the syndicate that won the Cup donated the trophy to the club) until 1983 when the Cup was won by the challenger, Australia II.

The cup, originally offered as the Royal Yacht Squadron cup, is now named after the first yacht to win the trophy, the schooner America. So ya pompous ass I have lived in the EU and have seen much larger dumb asses. Excluding French

  • What class of dingy sailor was that?

  • Maybe they were just beginners.. everyone has to learn.

    In Dutch they say ;

door schade en schande wijs worden.

    &

  • FAIL

  • LOL

  • Nature has ways to weed out the stupid.

  • any knucklehead can go out and buy a boat. all they need is money and no brains to crash it like that

  • The hard way to find out a boat does have brakes.

  • ag ag ag is so difficult to train is not the first breeding loose sail all the way tight in the middle of the boat and then quietly to the side. a baby can still !!!!!!!

  • so much time went into making that boat.. who the hell let those guys sail it?!?

  • i bet the guy jumping out and just dragging in the water did do some part to slow it down

  • Aaaand when you come in to dock on a sailboat, you drop the mainsail, use the jib to move. Easy to come to a controlled stop that way, just let go of the jib and let that sucker flap around, and it should all solve itself.

  • HAHAHA what a bunch of idiots, this really was comedy

  • the failboat has arrived

  • I think if i jump out i can stop it??

  • erm rounding up into the wind may help a tad

  • a tad? it would of saved them a lot of expoy work but i did the exact same thing going down wind in a tight spot and it was my first solo out.

  • not that funny but lol

  • 420's are fun, and this reminds me of at my yacht club when little 10 year olds dont take their sails when going downwind to the boat ramps, boom!!! everyday

  • whahahaha funny german pepole oeh dumbass!

  • that was sad... lol

  • dumbasses!

  • I love them knocking over the guy on the dock: two words - J Turn.

  • lmao that was funny wow

  • amateurs

  • Terrible seamanship i afraid.

  • Can confirm that is a GP14, boats I normally race in.

  • FAKE! You can see the "captain" look into the camera at 0:02s!!!

  • hahahah

  • haha, stupid, they look like beginners

You never moore when the wind is behind you

  • an they are look like tourists

  • wow, sail much?

  • LOL.we lost brakes...

  • Well, somebody doesn't know how to trim sails, I see.

  • Abandon ship!!

  • is it a wayfarer?

  • dont think its a wayfarer, looks too small, and bow doesn't look right, gp14 i think? either way ive seen better attempts at coming alongside a jetty!

  • maybe a wonderer?

are you from the isle of wight?

  • i thought it could be a wonderer, went and looked at a few pics, but the bow profile doesnt look quite right (wonderer is virtually the same profile as a wayfarer but a bit smaller) yup im from the isle of wight, had my fair share of dinghy's! moved onto the big boats now where you dont get quite as wet!

  • yeah, wonderers are fun to sail though, i go to st. helens a lot on the isle of wight, where are you there?
