  • whoa! fantastic work!

  • @wierda123 says who? Why not have unique worship songs? If i was God id be sick of the same sunday morning worship songs every modern church does now adays. Worship has become musically boring. I'd love for a worship song to come out it 7/8 time or something unique like that. Why put limitations on worship? That's just dumb.

  • just turn up the rest of the band and let that awesome drummer out of the cage.

  • he's gettin down up there!!

  • My 3 y/o son absolutely loves this video! He's an avid 'up 'n coming' drummer & adores our church drummer (who's 16y/o!). Keep playing with passion!! Thank you for posting this video!! God Bless you!!

  • wow! thats one of the most beautiful things I've EVER seen! PG! You can see his spirit dance in it! Awesome

  • wow! thats one of the most beautiful things I've EVER seen! PG! You can see his spirit dance in it! Awesomw

  • It's Justin Lee Collins!!! Never new he was such a good drummer

  • @nau02119 What the heck!?

that's JLC!? No way dude, never knew he played the drums.

  • @nau02119 That's not JLC. His name is alan lmfao.

  • A little heavy on the cymbals bro, I like your rhythmic integrity. Do you have a ride cymbal or are they all crashes? Or are you just hitting the ride to hard to make it ring too much? Overall this is a sick video. :)

  • Are you a self taught drummer or did you take lessons when you started?

  • GReat Drumming bro, very simple and clean. Wish i could play with you.

  • awsome hi-hat job dude!

  • Good skills... just need to control the cymbals a bit. A bit too excessive for a song like this... or maybe it's the sound mixing. hmm... in any case, i agree with @pitt32671

  • WOW AWESOME x x x you rock !!!!! praise God x x x

  • hey this is old but the kit is a pearl you can see the top of the p and the end of the l behind the subkick hope that helps

  • Confident, creative and innovative fills, loud-n-proud, no false moves. You can tell when a drummer has the genuine talent to drum with expression from within vs. simply trying to keep beat with the music. Keep it up for the Kingdom. :)

  • your great man! keep prasing the lord

  • Very well done...great job. I can tell you're having fun and worshiping behind the kit. Keep on drumming man...God bless!

  • hey man, ur such a good drummer, keep it up

  • A little constructive criticism . Dont play so many notes on the hat etc.. try to keep it more foundational. more "Pocket"

  • The way he does that crescendo? during the verse on the cymbals and high hat is SO EPIC

  • awesome skill!!

  • @thedrummer5 hey i think its a yamaha wat kinda kit is it tho it looks like a sjc drum kit

  • @josh777tdr Hey Josh it is a Yamaha kit... not sure what series or anything.

  • Thanks a loottt!! Your vid gave me a direction to go on. I'm playing drums for this song on mon at my church too! =D

  • that ride sounds like eff when you crash on it.

    your skills are solid though.

  • Thank you for recording and posting this video. I am learning how to play drums for our praise band and appreciate all the lessons I am learning from hearing and watching other great drummers. Praise the Lord!

  • great drumming

    enjoyed much

  • Great job man! Praise the Lord!

  • great stuff, keep praising. What church is this btw?

  • Hey thanks dude. I appreciate the fact that you're checking out my videos. Much appreciated. This church in the video is my church, Cuyahoga Valley Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Thanks again.

  • Man - it doesn't matter what y'all think about how this cat looks when he plays. He's in the pocket and as a bass player, I would love to play with this dude

Rock on for the Rock my brother

    TC

  • omgg he's so funny!! his expression, it's like he's trying to kill the drum or something, and he looks really casual.. but he's really good tho!

  • hey man great job. the actual band that wrote this song is matt maher, not chris tomlin. matt maher has a really awesome drummer named dan hinze so you should check him out

  • Hey thanks for the comment and checking out my videos. I appreciate it. You are right that Matt Maher wrote it but I was going off of Tomlin's version which is why I associated him with the video. Totally going to have to check out Dan Hinze... thanks for the suggestion.

  • Dan is a sick drummer great with playing the actual cd recordings i personally know them great guys im actually traveling in Dan's place right now because his wife just had a baby but i for sure cant play like Dan haha i do my best though but hey thanks for standing up for matt bro i can tell you he really does appreciate someone who knows HIS song...

  • wow colton it is great to talk to you. dan told me about you, because i asked him why he wasnt coming to my home parish in december. im good buddies with kemi, they told me great stuff about you. cant wait to meet ya. my name is dom, so ur coming to indialantic FL. see you then

  • he's a good drummer but he looks like he's doin it for show which isnt good.

  • maybe you're just taking the drummer's body language out of context. the song is really inspiring to play. And to actually absorb the message of the song while playing it can make passionate drummer play passionately.

  • its how is head is rocking back and forth.

  • Wow just because he is rocking his head back and forth he is doing it for show. I think its called rocking out for and with Jesus.

  • Iam a praise drummer as well and i can just see in his face and his body that he praising god, he is singing along and praising and yeah he is rocking his head, but its so bad when worship leaders have no emotion, thats a bad message to the crowd they are trying to lead in passionate worship.

  • ya it does look like his doing it for show. no doubt

  • lol who are you to judge others? You don't even know this guy and yet you judge him by the looks?...

  • great drumming !

  • is that a roland spd-s pad ur using for the background music? coz i saw u hit sth when b4 u kicked off the song. if it is, it sound nice and God deserves the best we can offer! Lol! anyway nice drumming

  • Justin. How are you doing? Thanks for checking out my videos. I appreciate it. You nailed it on the head. The pad is a Roland and the loop was running at the same BPM as the click so when I would give 4 clicks and start it on 1 it would be right in line. Thanks and have a great day!

  • Well thanks for your relply, greatly appreciate that. Anyway I'm planning to get an SPD-S pad because I totally wore out my sampling pad. I was just wondering if the SPD-S is user friendly and what are your thoughts on it? Anyway hope to hear from you soon! God Bless

  • I've only used it a few times for loops because I do not own it. But from what I've used of it I really like it and how it operates. I actually looked into buying one... but then I realized that I didn't have a huge need for it at the time.

  • wow thats an amazing hi hat intro

    i gotta learn that

  • Is this the Geico guy?

  • lololololol

  • i meant to the geico guy comment

  • Beautiful! Wonderful drumming and God has surely blessed you with awesome talent.

Thank you so much for sharing and God bless you all the more!

  • good technique, and also very smooth...I, myself am a drummer and we played this song just last week..it's an beautiful song...

  • I've never seen a video of a worship song focusing on one of the backround players. Hmmmm. Interesting. I guess that's what we should have been looking at and this is helping us out.

  • what matter is they are both serving the Lord. The best offering is for the Lord and nothing else. Religions, denominations, and sectors doesn't matter. Whatever arrangement the song would be it is for the glory of God not for humans. The main character here is the Lord. He is exalted forever!

  • actually the song is not by Christ Tomlin, it is by Matt Maher on of the biggest Catholic rock musicians around today. Chris just did a remake of it. Matt has a better version!

  • Thanks for the comment and for watching the video. I was going off of the Chris Tomlin version which is why I labled it accordingly.

  • wow that song just got crucified

  • THANKS so much for posting all the videos of your drumming in the worship team of your church.

They & we are blessed by your drumming!

    Keep up your good work!

  • Dude... Excellent drumming :) Very nice.. God has blessed you my brother ...

  • dude if you hit your cymbals harder, you will be more scene which is really cool

  • Get a hair cut and shave......you looked like a chimpanzee in a cage...in a Duracell TV advert!

  • LOL!!!

  • Get a shave and trim your hair, you look like a chimpanzee in a cage....in a Duracell TV advert

  • crazy drumming

  • Not sure if totally understand your question but this was shot at my church during a sunday morning service. The pad that I hit triggers a loop (which you can barely hear in the video.) As for the woman... she is married.

  • ok, so I'm confused....help me out. This is a worship band right? I mean you click on the background music, drum along and have a couple singers? I'm hoping this was just for kicks? AND while you are a decent drummer, I'd like to see the chick :)

  • amazing drumming

  • Oh my gosh. SUCH COOL DRUMMING!!!

  • this looks so fun to play. makes me want to go back to playing drums, playing with loops is so fun. any david crowder material buddy?

  • I played "Oh Praise Him" a few weeks ago with a loop but don't have any video of that.

  • how did you train yourself to be spot on beat with the track?
