Chengdu City promotional VOD

Rode a train 30 hours from the airport in Guangzhou, to Chengdu in April 2011. Was surprised the street signs are either English or Chinese. Seems most people under age 30 know how to read/write English, just don't have much experience speaking it. So, I was invited out to meals 28 of my 30 days there, all paid for, by citizens wanting to practice English. Am returning April 2012.

But seriously, its a great place to visit. Wonderful people. Spicy food and even spicier women.

Words of advice;

1. Rent should not be more than 1600 rmb per month

2. Eat everything/bring Ammodium AD and tums

3. If your not from here, your an ambassador from where your from so act like one

4. Bus is the safest way to travel, get yourself hurt riding a bike

5. Bring vitamin D and Iron pills, only drink bottled water.

6. Be open minded

@kc10man haha, you can drink tap water but tap water needs to be boiled before drinking. And watch out for street food, some of them arent the cleanest :P

Is it true that China is so heavily polluted, that rivers look like open garbage collectors and dumps, and that air is worse than anywhere else. I always thought that Chinese were highly logical people, however, it seems that their biggest trait, greed, is going to ruin them. What good will all that economy have, when the air and water you will have will be like poison. I am simply disgusted with what China is doing.
