This is just like a SubGenius event. You treat Bob Barr the same way we treat "Bob" Dobbs. I really enjoy watching this and the whole spirit of your event. You are true SubGenii.
I'm STILL voting for Ron Paul in November. I'll write him in UNLESS HE endorses someone else. I am ashamed to admit that I voted for George Bush twice. I bought the 911 fiasco hook line and sinker. Never again will I take at face value the propaganda of our media, OR our government.
write in votes are thrown away vote bob barr... ron paul has come out and supported him... dont get ur vote thrwon away.. vote barr or chuck baldwin.. both have ron paul's beliefs on size of gov't and the war, etc
yea well he has come out and admitted that he has seen the light and he is a different man than when he was a republican in congress.. so i trust him being a BORN AGAIN LIBERTARIAN and he apologizes for his part in the patriot act.. etc
We the people of this country, are seeking answers to many issues, and we are not getting those answers from either the Democrats or Republicans.
Politics as usual does not cut it in these times, and we have had enough of a government that has a belief that self interest is more important than the interest of its people.
True freedom has been lost, but the fight to bring it back has just begun!
Bob Barr, just another big government status-quo Washington insider. He won't even agree to a timeline to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq. That's because he supported this disasterous war to begin with and he continues to do so today.
This is not true. He is against the war, against the patriot act, against nation building, against high taxes, pro2nd amendment, against Bush's stripping us of our civil liberties....the list of his libertarian aspects are long!
This is the most nonsensical "event" and make some (ex) LP members really looks like kooks. Barr is for constitutional limited govt, but he is not for the anarchism BTP leaders aspires.
I'm not voting for either of them. But I still think Obama is a little better when it comes to foreign policy. You don't know how much of his rhetoric is just him talking tough and how much of it are things he actually plans to do.
What do you mean he'll attack Russia? I thought he wanted to go to war in Pakistan. Or do you mean if he goes to war in Iran it'll provoke a war with Russia?
It has to do with is adviser staff as he is just as much a puppet as McCain, his foreigner adviser has a record for his cold war ideas, that obama sticks to the missile defense shield which is a very offensive measure in the understanding of nuclear tactics it takes Russia's last retaliation capabilities and the latest arms developments support this as well....
Russia's nukes are controlled from the underground and the latest development are nukes with kinetic penetration capability similar to the known "bunker buster" bombs - they also could be used on the Iran, but that would be a bit excessive as they still won't have any nukes for the next 10 years and this fact could trigger a even larger international outcry then the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan combined.
At least they gonna heat up the old cold war again to the point of 1961.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
And this is why libertarian principles will never make their way into American government,...the LP is a joke and cares more about talking than getting anything done. Its all or nothing for you people; you would rather see zero victories for liberty than something less than perfection,...just awful.
In 04 he endorsed the Libertarian candidate and has been actively involved with Libertarian party leadership since 2006 and this year tried to convince Ron Paul to run on the LP ticket before running himself - If the freedom movement is to grow, you have to allow those of us who have "seen the light" work along with you.
If Barr isnt in the debates, who will argue against FISA and so many other issues we care about in the presidential dabates?
I thought that the libertarian party moderating was a good thing. Silly me, I guess we should just keep telling people that don't agree with us 100% that they are idiots.
Oh, they edited out that comment. Well, trust me. I was there. They pulled a pair of glasses out of the coffin. That was all that was left of him and someone said it. It was pretty funny.
in some defense for the voting members, he DID win by a slim margin over Mary Ruwart and his approval rating in the LP membership is something like 43% I saw
he is a born again libertarian.. he is a different man than when he was a republican in congress.. give the guy a 2nd chance.. since being a libertarian he has not supported any of the things that are in question.. in fact he has been trying to repeal the patriot act ever since he has been out of congress
The hipster less in your face version of the Republican party.

The last time I checked, there was still a pulse.
Don't bury the LP yet.
