@mactavishc Go play Call of Duty you candy ass jack wagon. Most all specops groups between the United Kingdom and the United States do much of the exact training with very minor differences depending on their specific missions. Also, many times United States Special Forces train together with the Special Forces in the United Kingdom, I.e. Delta Force and SAS.
I just saw a video on Don Shipley (SEAL) and i had planned to join the SEALs but after watching that it kinda sickened me on how much he trashed the other units. I decided to look up the SOS and I think i found a new line I'm interested in joining

God Bless America, Though I am not American born, I love America. America is the last freedom standing on the globe against all the dictatorship, socialism, which is the transition to communism. America, wake up& be strong, don't ever lose your constitution that was endowed from god. Even all those terrorist countries have one -year -long greencard waiting list come to America, so those who passionately hate America, go to live somewhere in communist country. then u will appreciate & learn
@eogren, I completely agree man. I'm stationed out at Cannon, the new headquarters for AFSOC and these guys are definitely intense. This video definitely didn't go into all the rigorous training these guys have to endure
Fact: there are SEALs who went through PJ training (Indoc/Pipeline) and have dropped on request. Not knocking SEALs because that is the job which i desire the most, but Pararescue and many of AFSOC jobs are some hardcore stuff.
...Really? Honestly after watching training vids for Rangers, SEALS and now this, this would be a cakewalk for a Ranger or a SEAL. Unless there is something this video isn't showing, the only reason a person shouldn't be able to make it through this is a fear of heights. Hate me all you want but watch what the other branch spec ops go through and tell me I'm wrong.
@wushunate1 lmao you think this video shows all of their training? only drop out because of a fear of heights? thats one of the dumbest and most ignorant comments ive ever heard. oh god i dont even wanna address ur comment. you really think all they do is jump out of planes? these are the most highly trained troops we have. you must be foreign huh?
This video doesn't show any kind of physical training these men go through or showing men having breakdowns from the difficulty of the training. This video shows these men having fun and smiling at points of their training. That's unheard of when it comes to Rangers and SEALS. If you have footage to prove to me that what PJs/ CCTs has some difficulty equivalent to what Rangers and SEALS go though, I will stfu. But what I see here looks like just fun.
@wushunate1 This is only the skydiving portion of their training, my brother is para-rescue, if you watched Surviving the Cut he was in that group and the one before it. It is not all fun and games like this video. Though these are the videos that made my brother want to join. He is just stubborn and motivated enough to be one of the 14 that graduated out of 125 people.
hey guys are your probably going to think im an idiot if i say this. But which training is more harder???? US ARMY Special Forces or US Air Force Special Operations Command????
@fluffy2700 my guess is to train them to do car menuevers to stop people and stuff like that and useing trashed up veichals and people crash them alot i guess so they have dents i dont really know thats just my guess
quick question. im 15 and i need to know what kind of shape i should be in before trying to join up with the U.S. airforce. i cant be a pussy my whole life and i dont do the best in school. alot of my friends are definately joining up in the U.S. military. i cant be left out. i weigh 235 and am losing weight rapidly with the help of some black dude on youtube. what else should i be ready for. im pretty tall and soon to be muscular. i think i would be great at flying planes
@xmikerinehartx dude, if you wanna be in the air force spec ops, you need to do good in school, the air force and the navy are all about smarts, trust me,i know, im barely getting in to the air force as cyber security, BUT on the other hand, i went to college for a little bit, for network tech support, so im in the same field... all i can say is get in shape, do good in school, you need a diploma hands down... and ask a recruiter, if they dont know, they will ask some of their air force buddies
CCT and Pararescue is the backbone of all spec ops in all military operations. These men are quiet professionals who dont do this for glory but to serve.
This is awesome, I was thinking about going into the army but I think this is exactly what I want to do with my life, thank you so much for posting this..,
@BakerBoy2401 be careful though, Im thinking about this as something for my future too, but its a big decision. The dropout rate is normally somewhere between 80%-90% for each class and if you don't make it you will be tasked for a different job and will normally have to wait a year or more to retry. You could be stuck in a job you hate for four years. Im not saying don't do it, but make sure you have the mental capacity to push yourself through.

I was a support troup for what was then a Combat Control Squadron detached out of Hurlburt Field, FL. These guys are the real deal and rarely heard about.
@eogren I was at Homestead AFB in the 80s early 90s. CSAR and pararescue was mostly active reserves in our command. the base was a fighter squadron so most revovled around pilot/water rescue. the water training was down the road at Turkey Point NPP. Everyone kept to themselves until you hear ''Attention all units,,,We have an IFE'' in progress and all hell breaks loose.
Not knocking SEALS.. But if you actually think AF spec ops is gonna be easier then im afraid you're mistaken... The DOR for pararescue is higher than that of ppl that go into buds

@ThatOthersMayLive716 AF spec ops may have a higher dropout rate but their bct is pretty much nothing physically or emotionally. There is not much foundation to prepare them for something more difficult.
@wushunate1 My brother went through 10 weeks of hell to become a Airforce Para-rescue. He told me stories of water confidence training that alone would make you cry.
@ThatOthersMayLive716 Yeah, If I am not mistaken, PJ's have to go through BUD/S as part of there normal training....not to mention the other branches training programs. There just tough nuts and I think its totally kick ass.
Combat Control and PJs go through the same thing, except after they have completed Airborne, FreeFall, Combat Diver, Underwater Egress, SERE, and Indoc. then they split off where PJs have their EMT and Pararescue Course and CCTs have their Combat control school and the other i cant recall.
In the AF they are called Flight Surgeon's. They are certified medical doctors that have been inducted in the AF as officers and remain on Flight Status. With they go downrange, they typically stay in the C-130/C-17. Usually the protocol is for a team of PJ's to be sent out with the flight crew of a C-130 or HH-60 unit to get victims out of hostile territory, then bring em back to a safe zone to be operated on. During flight back to base the PJ's will perform minor medical procedures.
Do the Army rangers do this too? cuz my grandfather was int he army rangers and i wanna b in it too. Plus, im adrenaline junkie so this would be fucken awesome
You will first need to obtain a Bachelors Degree with the Air Force, it takes time but when you achieve it, it is totally worth it. i have a question for those who actually know what cct and pararescue actually do on a day to day basis(even though i know no days like the last). which of the two job see's more action and jumps? and what is a typical mission for each like?
Marine? Veteran Marine? Sure sounds like it. Only a Marine would bash another military branch like that. Get a......well, your not worth it. Good day to you, little boy.
