  • hello, i restarted my sock with a pattern from knitting on the net, and for the heel flap it says, repeat last two rows until all stitches have been worked, then work right side row.

i am confused as to how many rows i should be working the heel flap?

  • @veronikamars23 I'm sorry - I'm not familiar with that pattern, so I'm unable to answer the question. I suggest you contact the pattern designer with your question.

  • @verypinkknits thankyou, i will. i really want to make socks and you make it look so fun and easy

  • what if my sock is larger and there are 26 stitches on needle one? how many stitches do i purl then?

  • @veronikamars23 You'll need to follow whatever pattern you're using. I can't say what you should do, since I'm not familiar with your pattern.

  • @verypinkknits thankyou. i love your videos and they've helped me out a lot with different projects

  • @verypinkknits thankyou! love your videos

  • Really helpful- I have been struggling with learning how to turn the heel and you makeit so easy, thanks so much!!

  • The pattern for turning the heel is it just those three rows or do I have to repaet them

  • @123luongo All of the information you need to complete these socks is in the written pattern. To purchase and instantly download the pattern, just follow the link in the video description field (just below the video).

  • thanks! i am from Brasil and i loved ! I am so happy! thank you! In Brasil dont exist videos like these. You are the best!

  • Where do I get the pattern for the sock you keep talking about?I must missed it somewhere.I am scared of knitting socks but I will give it a try and you make it look so easy...let just hope I can get that knitting pattern.

  • @Justme1714 The pattern is available for purchase and immediate download on my website. YouTube won't let me post a link for you here in the comments, but there is a link in the video description (just below the video), and there are links to my website all over my channel page.

  • I am a little confused, for some reason, my knit pattern when I turn the heel is inside out. Is there a reason why this would happen?

  • @FrenchFry2232 Are you using the exact pattern that we use in the videos, or a different pattern? I think I know what is going on if you are using this same pattern. (Another pattern could have a mistake in it, and I would have no way of knowing if that was the issue.)

  • @verypinkknits I'm using the exact pattern. I just make the cuff a little bit longer so that it goes up the leg a little further.

  • @FrenchFry2232 Okay - I think I know what happened. Look at the very last line in the pattern in the "Divide for the Heel" section. (Should be the last line of page 2.) It says "work Row 1 once more so that you are ready to work a WS row." The turning the heel section will be inside-out if you skip this line of the pattern.

  • @verypinkknits YES! it worked! they look great. you videos are the best.!

  • @verypinkknits I did the same thing and I am only two rows in. Is there a way to undo it and start over?

  • @rosettAIRcps If you are knitting inside out, you can just flip it the right way. If you need to unravel some rows, you can just pull your needle out and unravel, or take a look at my video called "Knitting Help - Tinking" for a safer way to do it. :)

  • @verypinkknits Thank you, but i decided to chalk it up to my first sock knitting experience :) I will just pretend it was all part of the plan lol but i will know for next time.

  • actually I had a sock pattern from net similiar to yours. It used 45 cast on stitches instead of 40. Your video is so explicit - between the two I was able to knit 2 pairs of socks. I didnt count the rows of the heel turning, I just knitted until I had 12 stitches and then knitted the remaining 4. Thanks, I didnt buy the pattern, sorry. -(

  • I thought that the slip stitch pattern was lined up and eye of partidge was the one that alternates.

  • @calcrules Funny you should mention that...it was just brought to my attention a couple of days ago that this might be the case! I've heard this method called Eye of Partridge, of course, but now I've heard the alternating method called that as well. Both methods create a nice, thick fabric for a sturdy heel.

  • @verypinkknits videos are awesome! on turning the heel, am unclear if you do rows 1, 2 and 3 until you have 12 stitches, or if you do Row 1 once, then repeat Rows 2 and 3 until you have 12 stitches left. I am having trouble in that following the pattern, I am not always at the gap when I knit/purl 2tog, when knitting Rows 2 and 3. At finish I am having a little gap on the left side, ??

  • @Noahsoak Are you knitting these socks with the PDF pattern? If so, you'll see that there are actually 8 rows in the heel turning section, not just the three I demonstrate here. If you are working from the purchased pattern and you still have a question, please send me a private message. If you need to purchase the pattern to follow along, it's available for purchase and download at verypink dot com.

  • whew im alil confused on this part. i cant figure out the logic or mathematic aspect of the rows while turning the heel. ur knitting 5 the 6 the 4 on this side. i cant put it all together, =/ im practicing. thanku

  • Thank you so much! Although there are quite a few videos on you tube on the same topic, I love your presentation the most, and find myself benefited from your lessons the most. Great job!

  • THANK YOU!!!
