The irony is at the time this was made, the Terminator was quicker than all modern camaro's, until the 2010SS dropped. Then 6 months later the 2011 GT 5.0 arrived and the tables have turned again. Even the 2011 GT Convertible ran with the '11 SS Coupe, and vert vs vert the camaro did awful. Yeah, I have no excuse for the '98 through 2010 GT's....they sold well so Ford didn't care, the Cobra's picked up the slack. Glad to see the 5.0 back in TiVCT DI form.

I actually raced a 90s 4.6 Mustang once in my '77 280Z. It was neck to neck(both cars were stock at the time, well at least my 280Z was) until I hit 3rd gear. We went around a bend in the road, then he started pulling from me(he had the inside lane). It was pretty fun though.

The irony is at the time this was made, the Terminator was quicker than all modern camaro's, until the 2010SS dropped. Then 6 months later the 2011 GT 5.0 arrived and the tables have turned again. Even the 2011 GT Convertible ran with the '11 SS Coupe, and vert vs vert the camaro did awful. Yeah, I have no excuse for the '98 through 2010 GT's....they sold well so Ford didn't care, the Cobra's picked up the slack. Glad to see the 5.0 back in TiVCT DI form.

Please the mustang v6 beats the camaro v6, the mustang gt beats the camaro ss. Camaro 's have cheap interiors, are overweight, fugly engines, etc. Both the v6 and gt beat the camaro in a drag race. Every major car magazine (motor trend, road & track, automobile..) Says the mustang is better. The gt was so good it held its own with the almighty M3. The new Boss 302, was designed to take on the M3, but it was so much better they have to compare it to 65k + cars. Mustangs have always been better

I actually raced a 90s 4.6 Mustang once in my '77 280Z. It was neck to neck(both cars were stock at the time, well at least my 280Z was) until I hit 3rd gear. We went around a bend in the road, then he started pulling from me(he had the inside lane). It was pretty fun though.

BTW the lt1s had 285-305(ws6) hp stock and they were underrated at the factory for insurance reasons(alot of them dynoed at the wheels what they are rated for at the crank) the cobras your talking about were rated at a whopping 15 more hp than a ws6 lt1 car which means it comes down to the better driver...

The ro8 motor in Jimmie Johnsons championship car and all other chevy cars in nascar is developed from the LSx motor found on all 4/5 gen f-bodies and corvettes......the new challenger is an exact copy of the old one line per line, just retro flavor of the week design ala dodge, I guess those designers at dodge must be getting alot of money to use tracing paper.

most popular swap in a 240sx? are u kidding? any real 240 owner swaps in a SR20, RB20/25 or RB26, there is wayy more potential from Nissan engines in a 240. Or you can just build the KA24 thats stock and still walk over anything. As far as swaps in the rx-7, it happens more in the first gen then anything else, FD owners are laughing with a stock engine that makes more then the stated 280 hp, it closer to 320 in a car that weighs almost nothing.

ahhh the old addage 'there is no replacment for displacment' truly a histerical saying, if it were true tuners wouldnt exist today and the industry wouldnt be half the size it is. WOW my 2L makes as much as a 5.7L at a fraction of the cost....ooh yea my internals are rated for 13 psi, trans is good for 600 wft-lbs of torque and the axles good for 450 hp, so no there all in a very healthy state. One camaro will PROBABLY out handle my car, again, pretty close or better at a fraction of the cost

The dodge viper ACR with its massive v-10 holds the record for the nurenburg ring for production cars, bang 4 buck? you can get 500rwhp on stock internals from a ls-1 with a vengence cam and trickflow heads combo NA , ls-1 motors are easy to get for less than $2000 and with a forged bottom end and billet main caps can go over 1000rwhp u can find clean f-bodys with low miles for under $8000

These muscle car guys r hilarious, my 2L turbo SVTF (which costs a fraction of each car) on 9 psi produces 375 whp and 300 wft-lbs of torque, weighs less, eats less gas, costs less on insurance and handles better. Sam Starnos camaro will probably out handle yours anyday....dont forget the lsx powers the legendary corvettes and is one of the most popular swaps with-rx7,240sx and old muscle cars. Clean ls1 camaro $8000+ $2000 mods+ $25,000 cobra= ponys for lunch,... you do the math thats a $15,000 difference and and the ls1 camaro looks better ,gets over 24mpg and will last longer and will be cheaper to insure. Im not making this up to be a baised fan boy, do your homework get the facts straight, look this up yourself

Thats because people on youtube like yourself are idiots, the new Camaro is offically a 2010 model according to GM the ones who build it. A stock cobra is not a 11 second car its a mid 12 second car at best.......especially with no tire and a independant rear suspesion from the factory. With $1,500 you can get an ls-1 to run 11's thats basically bolts on,cam and tire. Look it up on youtube lol

Its just a little Lightning with some bolt ons. stock ported blower with a pulley, some trans work, little suspension, and a tune....Nothing special.
