  • Good one! Take a # 5 Willowleaf blade, paint it firetiger, and drill a hole in the tail section. Mount a split ring on the head side, and a # 6 treble on the tail, and you'll have a killer walleye flutter spoon. Made them for years and caught piles of 'eyes.

  • Nice fish... and it WAS Youtube "worthy"! Would love to hear some more info on how you were fishing with the downriggers.

How deep was it there and how deep did you have the cannonball? What speed were you trolling?

    Water Temp?

  • Thanks,

surface temp at daylight was 78, I positioned the down riggers at 35ft and the flutter spoons were probably at about 38 ft running 12 ft behind the ball, we were traveling at 1 to 1.2 mph. the best fish in the 5lb plus range were caught of the ends of points, they apparently were holding 40 ft deep.

  • thats a nice walleye, but is it really youtube worthy?

  • @WhiteWizard28 , define "WORTHY".

  • Oh around 30 inches I guess

  • bama boy , let's keep some things secret, a good fish'n hole is hard to find.

  • Is that lake Tugalo? I caught my first walleye there a few weeks ago. Not bad for a 'bama boy.

  • Thanks, these spoons will catch all kinds of trophy fish.

  • ever used the red devils...white and red spoons?

  • DBF, no but I have used DareDevil spoons in white and red stripe, But the firetiger badcreek spoons were the ticket on that day.
