I'm almost certain that this guy also was the model/voice for one of the animatronic pirates. I'm almost certain that this is the guy with the high "aaah-aaah" voice near the donkey! The rides were made in the same era, so it would make sense.

And of course, everyone knows Thurl.

At WDW, this guy is to the left of Thurl's bust. He's the last one.

This guy was just an actor, he didn't really sing backup. He lip synched along with the rest of the bust. The lead bust was the actual lead sing singer, Thurl Ravenscroft, ya know the guy that everyone thinks is Walt Disney's face.

I've read about it in more than one web site. The main bust is Thurl Ravenscroft's face who sings lead. He also sings A Pirate's Life for Me. The singers were just hired hands to record backup for the song, The other busts are just actors. I think Wikipedia has an article on Grim Grinning Ghosts explaining this.
