i learned how to drive a stick within an hour, and loved it for the first week. but later on when i drove my parents auto i realized that auto is the shit esspically for traffic, but i refuse to drive an auto cause im not a pussy!! hahaha auto has its advantages tho, like talkin on the phone and lazily cruising.

Stick shift is the shit. I learned stick shift just when i started driving and now i hate automatic, my left has nothing to do. It is more of a thrill to drive stick, plus it impress the ladies. Everybody at my school is like u drive stick? i'm like hell ya. Plus it is not that hard, i complained when i started but i got the hang of it in a second.

You get a stick shift.Europeans are offended if you offer them a "slush box" Use less gas and get more passing power on autoban.Americans are lazy and cant think for themselves. His point has nothing to do with how cool stickshifts are guys, haha, he's just trying to say that because software engineers are often concerned with control and functionality over ease of use in their general lives it comes out when they create software, and that they have to learn to think like "normal people" who don't give a shit how their car runs as long as it goes.

I love manual transmissions. Autos can go choke on a fat dick. They sound crappy, you have no clutch, and they're not fun at all. Manuals sound a lot better, they have a clutch(:D), and they are mostly offered on sports cars, which makes them more fun! XD

Just went to manual from an auto. I now have a 5 speed 04 mustang GT. I won't go back to having an auto. You have so much control and freedom with a manual gearbox. Not to mention how fast they are and how fun they are.

Mostly because many people in here in the states are exactly like the video describes; they don't "drive" or care for the experience. They want a a cool looking car to get them from A to B. You could probably find a car in Europe (Denmark for you) with the options you want very easily with standard transmission. Not here in America. You'd be lucky to find ONE standard car at a dealership.

I learned how to dive in a stick shift in a 1989 Jeep wrangler 5 on the floor and I love them and that is why my 99 wrangler also has a stick (5 on the floor)

Yeah I agree with you all. My wife rather drive a auto then a manual so I'm stuck driving it until I have enough money. Seriously though autos are hella slow when moving, i have seriously press all the way down for it to go to speed, specialy when going up a bit up hill going on a freeway. it pisses me off.

99% of cars around here are manual transmision. it-s cheaper, it saves fuel. Anyway.. it's not hard to use it.

i've drive only once an automatic transmissin car, and i will not trade manual transmision for an automatic one.
