I have a thiorie about Tingle. In WW, is in jail for some reason, but if you crawl into the hole in his sell you see sculs. In there you get the picto graf from MM. Heis proble in jail for murder because of the sculs, maby those sculs are link and the people in the korkie forest from OoT and stole the pictograf. I think this because in TP we see a guy that a skeloten that has the miror sheld and the sord and because we don't see the link from both N64 games ever.

Hey if you play the song of healing (which is playing in the background of when he explains Majora's mask) backwards in LoZMM you'll get the song of unhealing or the song of death. i think when you were a deku scrub when you get it as a mask it seems to be the only transformation mask of the 3 to not have a spirit inside but what if the spirit was sucked out of that deku scrub who is now a dead tree thingy is the one in that mask and it said it was the deku kings butler's son had ran away or something well he could of still be a young deku scrub turning link into a young deku scub when you wear it...

Hey PBG, I saw this rumor of some entity called "BEN". I was wondering if you would do a video about it in the G-Files! I think it would be a cool idea for the next G-Files and I'm sure a couple of people have heard about it. Here's a little bit about it... I knew the tree was the Butler's son, but this video raises a point where the Deku Scrub mask comes from! Also I don't think Tingle is the one who stole the Pictograph and carved out that tunnel, I'm sure it was another prisoner that just so happened to be jailed in the same cage as Tingle before Tingle was put in there (and maybe the other criminal died while in prison and one of the skulls was him/her?)

The part about tingle, you have to remember on the zelda timeline, majora's mask and wind waker have nothing to do with each other. In the Child Era, tingle could've been a good person and nothing bad with him at all, but in the Adult Era, something must have happened to him (torture my believe) that has changed him to be his ways in the wind waker. That's my belief about tingle.

Huh, just realized another sign that the little dead tree might be the Deku Butler's son; it bears an uncanny resemblance to the Deku Scrub version of the Effigy of Emptiness. Each of the effigies look more like their originals than Link does with their masks on, so...yeah. I love all the little dark touches like that in the N64 Zelda games.

My favourite Zelda games, Wind Waker and Majora's Mask. MM has such an amazing atmosphere and felt so creepy... I loved it, and the main complaint (The time limit), is actually a really well designed game-mechanic, and the transformation aspect was amazing. As for Wind Waker, everyone complains about the sailing and how it takes so long, but I found it so relaxing, and something never seen before in a adventure game. Not to mention, the art style is amazing.

Actually, Tingle was going to be a fight in Majora's Mask. He was going to take on the roll of the psychotic murderer type. Apparently, he was going to have the same personality he does, but you would find later that he lures victims to a certain area where he slaughters them and holds their blood, where he would "enchant" it to become a potion for eternal life, and was really cheery about it. Nintendo decided that was way too graphic, and edited it down, but ended up scrapping it completely.

@PureMagic101 Well I've heard it from a few places, but the majority of the info came from a 2003 issue of Nintendo Power when they were doing a special Zelda thing (I guess it was for one of the Gamecube or Gameboy releases?) and they mentioned how a lot of fans questioned if it was true, but Miyamoto denies it. Nintendo has covered up a lot of things like killing Gunpei Yokoi so I think that's one as well.

@William96bit Well that was most of Nintendo's problem with including the entire or even the edited version of Tingle's true identity in MM... 69% of the marketing efforts by Nintendo had the N64 shining in a "child and family friendly" light. Having a game that was part of a (at the time) very peaceful series rated T or M would've been bad for Nintendo's credibility. MM was scary as hell though so I don't see their logic to be honest.
