Rockets can hit up to three times (Once per rocket.) If fired at close range, as in this case, it can deal a lot of damage. I think it comes in second to a Plasma hit when that happens in terms of damage dealt.

The game supports a custom playlist of 30 MP3 songs, just put them in the WIPEOUT folder on the memory stick.

I used a custom firmware plugin called RemoteJoy to send the video of the PSP game through USB to display on my computer monitor. FRAPS recognizes that window on the computer and can capture the video.

I capture the audio using the stereo jack output of the PSP into a stereo input on the PC with Audacity (Free audio editing software)

I combine both in Sony Vegas to make the video.

Custom firmware is required.

The way with official firmware is to buy the video out cable and record with a PVR.

This song fits the race the best. I've just imagined cyber championship event when a group of people is present within some place like modern night club. Then the championship event starts and the racers are ready. The light is shutting down slowly and the race begins. Nice lightshow and lots of drink. It would be amazing. But the song itself turns into a crap after 2:00 timestamp.

Both have their pluses.

Pure: free and large amounts of bonus downloadable content.

Pulse: online infrastructure play, ship customization through website, custom soundtrack.

Depending on your gameplay preferences, Pulse also has more "arcade-like" controls whereas Pure controls the more traditional WipEout way. Both are still very WipEout like.

I also have to add that if you have a PS3, the absence of infrastructure in Pure is mitigated through AdHoc Party.

Both are highly recommendable.

It's a barrel roll. Steer left-right-left or right-left-right quickly while jumping and you will obtain a speed boost on landing by using some of your ship's shield energy.

The team is Goteki45, however the skin is the alternate skin.

If you play WipEout HD, the skin is the third one you unlock.

There are only two colors on it: black and yellow (In case you still can't find it :))

The PS2 version of WipEout Pulse is only available in PAL territories.

It has better texture work, but lacks custom soundtracks and ship skins obviously. There are also some memory card bugs that can happen.

No, the ships are fixed. However you can go to the wipeout-game website (Use Google to find it, search for wipeout-game) and you can make a custom skin to customize the appearance of the ship (You have to log in to the PlayStation Network to access the skin editor.) You can even play with that skin online. You are limited to five skins per account on the PSN.

Yes a few still play it online, though it's generally in organized meetings. You can stumble on a few players on occasion, but mostly it's empty unfortunately.

But if you are interested in meeting up, go to WipEoutZone forum (google it) or to Gamespot's WipEout Pulse forum. That's where the players usually hang out. ;)

You can't make a custom ship or team however, only edit those from the game.

Barrel rolls give you a boost if you successfully land one, at the cost of some shield energy.

Steer Left-Right-Left or Right-Left-Right while in the air.

However PurE is infamous for the barrel rolls that refuse to work a lot of the times due to the lower framerate. So if you never manage to do one, just find a higher jump and make sure there are no AIs in front of you.

Really? Well if you like futuristic racers, you should try F-Zero, I reccomend starting with F-Zero GX for the GameCube as it's only 4.99 used at GameStop and really fun. Unlike Wipeout though, there are no items all though I'm not sure that's a bad thing. I want this for my PSP, though, nice vid. I'll have to get this game.

Some nice gameplay! I recently got Pulse today, surprisingly cheap for such a great game. I also liked you choice of music, fits WipEout well! Also, for some reason it reminds me of Timesplitters, their music for the futuristic stages were similar to this. Especially the stage creator in Future Perfect.

This is an upscaled video and the game is played on a PSP with custom firmware with the overclocked CPU at 333Mhz. A regular PSP with official firmware doesn't play this as fast, unfortunately :(

The game controls a little differently but otherwise it is essentially the same gameplay. There are harder tracks in WipEout Pulse than in WipEout HD, and more tracks too.

The online mode is basically dead though, you won't find many players so if you ever wish to even try to play online you should head to the WipEout Pulse section of the wipeoutzone forums (Just google it), or gamespot/gamefaqs...

Oh but FRAPS still pumps out large files. You'll need a converter (I recommend SUPER by eRightSoft, but really any will work) or to edit them in a video editing program (I used Sony Vegas for this video)

Damn, sorry for not replying, I had no idea you commented again.

For recording sound you will need to plug a cable into the earphone jack of the PSP and plug this into your PC's audio line input.

Then you will need to set this up so you can record the audio in a program like Audacity, and then make it export an .mp3 of your recording which you can then edit in with your video in a video editing program.

Combine the audio from Audacity and the video from FRAPS, and you have your video :)

Thats possible, but I've never recorded audio directly.

I preferred to have it in a mp3 file to add it to Sony Vegas later so I could have the sound effects in one MP3 file and add music I have on my hard drive, so I can adjust the volume of both audio tracks independently, and have the music continue between each track I play.

If you record it directly from the computer output, the video and audio will be one file. Then you can separate them in Vegas to make them 2 files.

But everyone has their opinions... same result, different process.
