I was at the apple store the other day and I got to play around with a macbook air. its nice but I dont want one. first off all its too thin for me and I might break it by accident. and it has no disc drive. I wouldnt mind owning a regular macbook but I want one that is black and has a disc drive.

I did the same thing. I can get a Macbook pro 17'' for $3000.00 from my school. And it comes with a driver and a faster processor. Macbook Air is cute and all, but not paying more for a separate driver, no thanks!

That's so not true. This looks like it would break so easily, not to mention overheating issues and there's no disc drive. I mean I have an iPod and it breaks down like crazy, a week after I got the new one it wouldn't turn on, I haven't heard good things about the iPhone either. I am completely in love with my alienware laptop, which is better than a mac.

Ok, I'm not sure how much it costs - but that isn't the point. The point is that for the same amount of money, you can buy a laptop that is a little thicker/heavier, but has alot more capability such as more hard drive space and a much better graphics card. Also, since the macbook air couldn't fit in a CD drive, there are a ton of programs that can't be installed and you can't play any disk format PC games. If you're a gamer, this isn't the laptop for you. sorry I dragged on a bit

Dumbest computer ever. They tried to make it sound neat, but really it's just a hassle to deal with. I have a regular macbook which is a lot better to me. Sure, it's 6 pounds, but at least you don't have to carry around a ton of accessories to get the same features you'd get in this laptop.
