For sure. The problem I ran into with my Tele is that my bridge pickup was WAY too hot. It was designed for like...metal...really heavy stuff, and in my naivete, I thought it'd be capable of producing a nice clean tone. WRONG.

So yeah, I'm hoping these JM pups will be nicely balanced. Most reviews I've read seem to think they are, so it should go alright. You gotta still retain that great surf tone, you know?

Yea most people recognize the JM as a "Surf era" guitar. so you gotta have the surf tone to go with it lol

It's not a classic player. They didn't come out until May of 2008.

But I own a classic player Jag HH and it's a really nice guitar for a MIM, if that helps.

yeah, i'm referring to the chorus bit, the pre chorus where you do 799XXX and X799XX. The second time you play it is also three strikes I think. But yeah, other then that just clean up the chorus and I dunno..something about the coming slowly into the full sound of the note sounds wrong to me..dunno, but anyway the improv at the end is great.
