  • hmong meka style is influenced by laos, and american hiphop, and i guess thai....iono..... but they are making their own choreography so i consider it hmong, modern hmong :P...............but this dance reminds me of american square dance...in a way.......

  • hmong meka don't have any dancing style, all copy from others,if you think clearly hmong meka still live in the cave,we need to open our eyes, don't copy others and make it ours, hmong meka too much lao and thai stuff, enough is enough creat our own like hmong china, we way 300 behind, since we lost in the jungle of laos for too long.

  • hrrmmm..i wonder wat the hmong chinese people and hmong thai laos vietnamese people think of our hmong american ways of dancing hahaha..

  • i do believe the hmong people were from the middle-east region as they have some dances' s steps similarity to the turkish and greek.

  • I mispelled. They speak Mong Xauv.

  • They speak Mong Sauv.

  • Those wear black pants are Hmong/Mong/Miao live in China a place call Mijlawj. It's located between Kuming and Wenshan.

  • I believe the ones in pants are Yi(Mab) while the ones in skirts are Hmong.

  • 好有趣

  • they have so many dance movements that you can not learn in one day..old style, new style, any style mix with old and new..

  • the hmong adapted to the laos dance in laos and called it hmong dance and use it in meca but i think they should use the hmong chines dance thats where they came from not useing other country dance style to call it theres especially laos dance and thai..hmob thai and hmong laos and hmong ameca have no dance style like tridition hmong chines...

  • Seeing Hmong art forms throughout the world is very interesting. One can certainly appreciate the diversity within the Hmong/Miao global community. Bear in mind that each local Hmong community can be heavily influenced by the majority culture. For example, Hmong-American dance is a direct adaptation of Lao traditional dance. Also, bear in mind that prior to 1975, there was no such thing as Hmong dance in the Lao-Hmong community that would eventually become Hmong-Americans.

  • i wish these kind of dances are can be revive in america among the hmong communities.
