Congrats on the scholarship, Lil Bigz! I'm sure you rocked the crowd! When you go to these events, what do the scholarships entail and what other opportunities are available that could possibly result in more opportunities? I didn't see anything for Chicago, so it must not have caught on here, but I'm trying to figure out the value should we have to travel to another state to attend. :)

Basically the scholarship allows you to attend any other Monsters of Hip Hop workshop for free...you still have to pay to get there but the registration is waived.  Usually there are dance agents there and in addition to scholarships, they give away free dance classes at some of the major dance studios, etc. I think they go to about 15 major cities and I'm surprised if they don't stop in Chitown...check at monstersofhiphopdotcom

You're welcome...I noticed that on their site they didn't list info on the dates that have passed either...double check again in a month or so. I know their convention is pretty much at the end of the season now because they're having their big show in a few weeks.

hey can u refer any dance studios in da bay area dat are GOOD and hav real gud pro hip hop instructors? as of the bay area i mean the cities of btown, oakland(mycity), walnutcreek, fremont, any of dat in the range? not so far like santaclara or milpitas or ova the bridge like frisco. im fourteen and i learn very fast. i learned arianalynn's dont stop the music choreo by jus watchin it and copyin it. so any suggestions??

Your best bet is culture shock / future shock oakland and New Style Motherload...also in Oakland. If you can take bart, check out dance mission in SF at 24th and Mission.

She doesn't go to any dance school right now. Her hip hop training comes from the Warriors Jr Jam Squad and what she teaches herself from watching tv and videos.
