  • 1:42 TRANSCRIBE AUDIO : "where you do friday on the ocean to allow a commission to explore the validity of your accusations?" xD LMFAO

  • 1:06 Queen of Naboo AKA Lady Gaga

  • he's waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy better as the Prophet of Truth...just unfortunate that they didnt use him in Halo 3 AND halo 2...

  • @Foxtrot323 Before picking favorites think about how the voices helped portray the character. In Halo 2 the Prophet was a calm, pious and seemingly all-knowing. Michael Wincott played that role perfectly. In Halo 3 he became a delusional, fanatic leader who would stop at nothing to achieve salvation through his crumbling empire. Stamp's voice acting portrayed the New Prophet's character excellently.

  • @mandalorian9 No sorry, I just happen to like Terrance Stamp better as the Prophet of Truth. Why do you think that Bungie decided to cast him in Halo 3 instead of re-casting Michael Wincott? Martin O'Donell stated (on the Halo 3 Legendary edition disc commentaries) that they cast Stamp because he seemed more like the character they were originally trying to convey. He admitted that Michael Wincott portrayed a good performance, but he just didn't possess that EDGE that Stamp brought to the table.

  • @Foxtrot323

Well, before I say anything, I feel I should be clear that I think both actors gave awesome performances. I could watch either and be perfectly content. However, I respectfully disagree that Stamp was better. Wincott--in my opinion, of course--sounded more manipulative and cunning. You could sense the greed and arrogance, and deceptiveness in every line he delivered. While Wincott had the better acting, Stamp had the better voice...much older, which was more appropriate.

  • @TheShockMaster I see what you mean, and I agree, but I guess Wincott worked better for Halo 2 and Stamp worked better for Halo 3. :)

  • lol

  • 2:46 Look! There are 3 E.T.'s

  • @TheMoviesBrothers bitch i was gonna put that

  • "My feet tread the path... I SHALL BECOME A GOD!"

  • halo

  • Amidala was offered another 4 year term as Queen due to her popularity but turned down the offer. Her successor allowed her to continue public service by choosing her to represent Naboo and the Chommell Sector in the Galactic Senate, however did Amidala make more money as Queen or Senator of Naboo?

  • Queen Amidala was offered to be Queen for another 4 year term but turned down the offer. Her succesor allowed her to continue public service by representing Naboo in the Galactic Senate but would Amidala get payed more as Queen or Senator of Naboo?

  • Someone noticed the couple of E.Ts at 2:46 on the bottom of the screen? :D

  • Terence Stamp OMG

  • Chancellor Valorum should have ordered her to kneel before Zod

  • Mankar Cameron from Oblivion=Chancellor Valerum! SO COOL!!!

  • This is the European Union in the future :D

  • @redxenos there already is a euro union

  • If only all politics was as exiting as this

  • LOL. If Valorum was still Supreme Chancellor, the Jedi would still be around in the original films and the Empire wouldn't be around, but still the original films were great though.

  • Wort wort!

  • From 2:46 to 2:49, in the bottom left corner of the screen, you can see three of ET's species in a Senatorial pod. They are members of the Senate, therefore hail from the Star Wars galaxy!

  • Dang. You're right. I never noticed that. Probably too dazzled by the superior story and plotline of this scintillating episode.

  • did you see ET!

  • Palpatine always manipule all, because all senadors are under is influence

  • Not necessarily. the pope is a man of God.

  • no.

    he's only a man.

he's SUPPOSED to be Jesus's representative here on Earth, but unfortunately (after John Paul II, at least) he's not. he's biased and, in the case of Benedict [whats-his-number], too conservative.

and look for the proof you need about the pope that worked to kill innocent women during the supposed "clensing of witches"

  • Poor chancellor Valorum. He didn't deserve that.

At least he was a trustworthy chancellor unlike Palpatine.

  • A bicameral galactic republic with a lower house in addition to the senate would've probably thrown out the Trade Federation a long before they turned hostile.

  • How so?

  • Actually I think I can see what you mean, as the Republic just had the Senate. Didn't know what bicameral meant, sorry.

  • Exactly. Big worlds like Coruscant are grossly under-represented with just a single senator, compared to the outer rim, and even simple cartels like the Trade Federation who have somehow forced their way into the Senate.

Proportional representation would make it much harder for violent factions to manipulate senators. And besides, weren't the Republic founded on trade, should protectionism and cartels really be allowed?

  • @DarkPrimeGS Bicameral means having TWO separate yet equal governement legislative entities. Here in the U.S., those two entities would be the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives

  • @gschjetne I disagree. What have governments done to stop wealthy corporations from doing the same thing?

  • SHOTE NAOW

  • This is C-SPAN 2200.

  • @newsboysrok When C-SPAN finally becomes semi-interesting

  • anyone notice E.T. at 2:47?

    =P

  • E.T. is indeed a star wars creature, because spielberg and lucas are friends, so lucas put the E.T. in the movie

  • The Video game Halo 3 doesn't differ much to Star Wars if you think about it.

The Prophet of truth is just a liar and a user who convinces the covenant to activate the rings that will set them free into the so called "Divine beyond"

But he was proven wrong about the rings. It was no more than a weapon used to eradicate all sentient life throughout the galaxy if not the Flood.

He was dealt with at the end of the game.

Poor little grunts got masacared by the Chief under his leadership.

  • i did

  • I think Bush is Valorum and Obama is Palpatine you'll see because at least the former had no true power over the government

  • Ok I hope people don't kill me for this. But I never understood, is Padme (sp?) and the Queen the same person?? Who's the girl who eventually becomes Senator and wife of Anakin? That has always had me confused.

  • Yes, Padmé Amidala is the Queen, who eventually becomes Senator and marries Anakin. Throughout Episode I and at the start of Episode II, she has decoys disguised as her while the real Queen is disguised as a handmaid (Padmé).

  • Ok thank you for clearing that up. ^^

  • I never understood why she had an accent in the first movie but dropped it for the other two.

  • yeah her accent was hot.

  • she had it when she had the queen personna and didnt when she was not acting like queen. ...... notice the same thing with Lea in a new hope/empire strikes back.

  • @triguy616

*Sigh* Both MutatedLove and johnkerry7 are incorrect. Padme had a double and the double was posing as Queen of Naboo while the real Padme was posing as a servant of the Queen(The Padme that Anakin was always talking to). If you remember correctly the double is assassinated early in the beginning of Attack of the Clones.

  • @SilentMagician7 Padme has more than one double, btw. The one used mostly (I think) in TPM is Sabé (played by Kiera Knightley), while the one assassinated in AOTC was Corté.

  • Ah okay. I assumed that she did but I was never sure so I never bothered to say anything about that. I was merely focusing on the double that did most of the acting in EPS 1 and 2

  • Actually, the double from TPM, Sabé, was never in ATC at all. That was a totally different double and Kiera Knightley made no such appearance. And the assassinated double was only featured briefly.

  • Wow, I seriously never knew that she was played by Kiera Knightley. I've honestly always thought Natalie Portman portrayed both Padmé and Sabé. They sure look a lot alike when there's makeup and strange, lard hairpieces involved... haha :D

  • @MutatedLove

I think another thing that confused people was the usage of the term "Queen." In this particular case, "Queen" does not mean what it traditionally implies in...well, the real world, if I may use that term. Rather than being a life-long position as a result of family bloodlines, on Naboo, Queen appears to be an office that one can get elected to, at which point they only serve for a few years before an election for a new Queen (or King?) is held.

  • Reminds me of Gerhard Schröder, somehow.

  • zum scheitern verurteilte situation und palpatine das schwein bekommt was er will bis zum fall der republik

  • i feel bad fr valorem they think hes awful but they'll see see this was 1 of there biggest mistakes

  • i feel so bad fr valorem in this part, they act like hes awful but they'll see see he this was 1 of the biggest mistakes they could make

  • good very good palpatine is a fair chancelor

    !!!

  • "I move for a vote for no confidence, in Chancellor Valourm's leadership."

    "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

  • Did you take those extra clips from Mankar in Oblivion?

  • Nope. Might consider looking that up later though. The extra voice clips came from the Prophet of Truth who Terence Stamp (Chancellor Valorum) voiced in Halo 3.

  • This is definitely the best scene of Episode 1..

  • really weird

  • that was weird

  • "... I present Queen Amidala, recently elected ruler of teh naboo, who speaks on her behalf.." great :-)

  • Eh? The abberation's not until near the end. I just felt it wouldn't be coherent if I didn't post the whole scene.

  • you suck

  • we need one with the speech from crows nest palpatine talks to anikan "The Temple will burn till its surface is but Glass!"

  • Lol. "I am Truth! The voice of the Covenant!"

    *Sits down*
