  • If thats not her bird house then what she is doing is evicting which ever bird has been using it. If it is her Bird House already then she may just be relining the nest...or...I had a case of a small bird who built his nest and the next day his mate got sick, he tried to undo everything he had done hoping, one supposes it would reverse the illness in his mate, so he undid his nest...thats the only time ive seen a bird do something like that lol

  • You should trap him while he in the birdhouse and then blow a lot of smoke in there. When you lethim out he'll be so scared that he'll get the hell outta dodge and NEVER look back. That's what I did when I had wrens taking over my bluebird house. I taped the hole up when they went in there then I banged the shit out of it for an hour and when i removed the taped they flew out of there like a bolt ol lightening and NEVER looked back.

  • looks like the bird digs the impressionism to me. If you ask me the house looks good on him and you sound like an annoying pesimist by the way.

  • Gentlemen... it has begun.

    Occupy Birdhouse!

  • why don't you catch it so it doesn't die instead of setting up a bird house next to it?

  • like a rock star in a motel room,he on a mission.

  • It's a she and she is fat with babies! parakeet usually don't like nests! thats why and if theres eggs in there she'll steal em from the mamma. its natural in parakeets

  • @ferretcutie9 Fat with babies? But parakeets lay eggs!... Unless you're saying that she ate the sparrow eggs...

  • Damm Mexicans taking our jobs and destroying our homes to now.

  • "He" is a she.

  • She might be mine... <_<

  • I had a parakeet that few out of the house before...luckily, I found her the same day I lost her. It's a good thing too...since a squirrel was close by her...

  • that looks like my bird that got out of my cage and it was a girl 2

  • She wants the box for herself, lol, poor wild birdies.

  • Thats a female - like all australian females - hard as nails :-)

  • @ginganz13 like Nat =]

  • I hope you know that's a SHE :-)

  • i'm gonna favorite this, mainly because of the title of the video.

  • AWESOME! TRAP IT!!

  • that's a female. they're meaner than the males, and she' probably looking for a nest hole.

  • @fantom58 males are meaner and in the wild they kill each other and attack females that wont breed..females will kill too. they are aggresive birds by nature and gang up if need be....

  • i got a free blue male budgie it flew into my moms hair and didnt know what it was so we went to petsmart and bought it everything and it already knew to talk and stuff :)

  • @TotallyFabtablous121 aww that so nice of you to care for it, because being in the wild they willnot last long at all

  • awww that's cute

  • why dont u try to take it in?

  • The sparrow's gonna come home and find the Budgie. She's gon smack it senseless "BITCH BETTER RECOGNIZE"

  • @chickenpoodle009 hahahahah OMGFG you just made my day with that joke

  • its a she

  • you been evicted bitches!

  • HAHAHAHAHA CALL TO SWAT.

  • That parakeet is an asshole.

  • @Saphireblue3 ur a fag

  • @12345678935669 The fuck? I'm a girl

  • freakin cute :P so awsome

  • "FUCK YO COUCH NIGGA!"

  • the budgie is a girl :) and it is common for them to rip apart other nests because of competion for food around breeding time

  • Sparrows forgot to pay rent.

  • parrots dig their "nests" in trees, they dont build nests with little pieces of wood and stuff like other birds do: their nests are empty cavities, that's why this little fella here is taking all the "crap" out, he needs the little wooden house to be empty to make it his nest :) poor scaped budgie btw, they don't live through winter :(

  • my budgie ran away too :( i dont know if its still alive but i keep seing some green birds around the neighborhood do you think it could have survived the winter?

  • Poor little sparrow... lost a home to the parakeet!

  • He chose the higher nest. They like to be at the highest point.

Lol, this is a cool video, thanks for sharing. And nice zoom!

  • Is he still there? Must be lonely...

  • Haha they're trying to be a roosters :p

  • When I put a little grass or anything into the breeding box my female parakeet takes it all out. I think they just don't like it. But yea, looks like she's wanting or getting ready to breed.

  • he's tearing it up to make it look nice so a female parakeet would want to mate with him. And that will be his wife and his new nest.

  • shelter from the predatory birds :P

  • just pick him up and keep him as a pet. :)

  • My HOUSE BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lmao i wuz thinkin the same thing!

  • why dont you pik her/him up and call 911! i would b so sad if one of my parakeets escaped =[

  • a hater parakeet :S

  • And who said domesticated parakeets couldn't survive in the wild? It'd be cool if that bird found an escaped mate. They could repopulate the Earth.

  • This parakeet is actually a female! Females will go into nest boxes to establish territory! If she found an escaped male, I'm sure that they would breed.

  • florida has a nice feral population.

  • its tearing up the nest because he wants to make a new nest thats what birds do.

  • get it in a box with 3 holes on top so it can breathe then when its in the box go buy a cage and get it in there:]

  • if its a weaver finches nest... (house sparrow) and if this is in north america... then yay!

  • It's a renovation project. The last owners left a mess and this guy is getting it ready to move in. Or maybe he's going to try to flip it, but good luck in this market.

  • Hahaha sgpuppy you so funny!

  • Sad....

Someones parakeet went on the lose.....

    like mine did.....

  • aww so cute!. i got 4 paras. u should capture it

  • domestic parakeets/budgies don't usually live for long in the wild; from a number of days to a number of weeks.

  • I'm pretty sure it is a girl. Plus, parrots will always use the highest nest away from predators, so there is no way that she ill move to a nest that is lower down.

  • Its really funny because that box is covered in paint ball splatter shots. LOL Someones been trying to fire that parakeets yellow ass up with paint balls. LOLOL I say the guy doing the vid is guilty. LOL If it wouldnt let me catch it I would shoot it with a paint ball gun. LOLOLOLOL

  • Try to catch it.

  • Catch it and train it. It looks like a really smart bird.

  • holy crap

  • that budgie is making a nest next time u might be able to here ababy chick :D

  • ahh that budgie its not a he its a her :D

  • capture it

  • Wow. That's pretty badass if it was a domesticated parakeet that escaped its home. You would think an escaped parakeet would just fly around until a hawk got to it, but this BAMF took out a sparrow's nest and claimed its own turf.

  • Budgies are the best birds ever

  • awhh its like a gang member

" get out of this house bitch this is my turf now "

  • psycho bird!!

  • maybe he is cleaning it out?

  • That's one wacky and crazy bird! XP

  • fri

  • i feel bad for it. its probly dead now. how does a parakeet get out of a house, what kind of careless people must the birds owners have to be?

  • catmanams: The same way anything else happens - you open your door to get a package and the cat slips out behind you, you turn your back one second to refill your child's cup and they start choking on their food, you open the cage to refill the water and seed and the bird slips out. Things happen. That's life. That doesn't mean someone is 'careless'.

  • @nursevangogh actually, yes, it does. Accidents often happen because someone was careless.

  • A cild leaving the door open, it figuring out how to open his cage when the pizza is being delivered.

  • If there were chicks in there, the mom bird would be kickin' ass. They'd protect the nest. Also, baby birds are usually kinda loud. Cute video and lovely bird house. I think the parakeet was attracted to that fancy paint job. Neon yellow bird goes well with it.

  • Do u live in austrailia

  • I had a green budgie fly up and land in my lap one day. I brought it in and bought a cage for it. Still have it to this day. I guess it must have been someones pet that got loose. Thats why you shouldnt buy birds for small children. They always end up killing them or losing them. Buy your kids a fish . When they get old enough for birds they can buy one for themselves. Because they should have a job by then.

  • @SputnikMedia im only 13 and iv had budgies since i was 8 and in 5 years 1 died out of 3...but there was something wrong wit her legs and she was always walking weird my mom thought it was jst a birth defect and she died within a month of when we got her :( so yeah i have had 2 budgies for about 5 years and i still have them!

  • @SputnikMedia - I got a parakeet when I was about 9 and it lived a full life. Some kids can handle a pet, while others aren't responsible enough. I proved to my parents that I could handle it by feeding the cat without prompting and reading a book on parakeet care from cover to cover. The most important part is to know your kids.

  • @SputnikMedia so true children are cruel to birds... fish or grass hoppers .. stupid kids

  • @blast4music im a "kid" and my parakeets have been living for over four years by now...they are always happy..and i let them out of my cage anytime, just, not out of the house. im the only one who cares for them..thats why all of them are calm to me, and let me pet them. they even go on my hands so they could be touched. they seem happy with me taking care of them. so, yea the little kids, like 8 and under, but im 11, and im sure that's still a "kid" that's really offensive to me and myfriends

  • @flipklenefoeva , you are a testament to someone who will do well in your life in the future. your caring for birds is much apprieciated by me and all birds in the world.. well done , no wonder your birds love you. your mum and dad should be very proud of you!!

  • @SputnikMedia im a "kid" and my parakeets have been living for over four years by now...they are always happy..and i let them out of my cage anytime, just, not out of the house. im the only one who cares for them..thats why all of them are calm to me, and let me pet them. they even go on my hands so they could be touched. they seem happy with me taking care of them. so, yea the little kids, like 8 and under, but im 11, and im sure that's still a "kid" that's really offensive to me and myfriends

  • @SputnikMedia I bought my kid a fish but she didn't like it....it was a salmon from the deli down the street....I kept telling her "it's your responsibility now, you have to take care of it".....but we ended up having to throw it out after about 7 weeks....my daughter was only 35 at the time though....maybe she was too young for it.

  • @SputnikMedia ... ahaha... i took good care of my pet budgie when i was a kid... my dad then told me an elaborate story on how it ran away when i was gone for the summer and he was taking care of it... o-o I think it's not age, it's more on willingness to truly understand and care for an animal.

  • @nameman1 Yeah I agree. ^^; I also think buying a pet for a child can help them learn how to take proper responsibility as well. As a parent just make sure to tell them everything that needs to be done before you make the choice of buying a pet, and in case things don't work out be prepared to take care of it yourself lol.

Buying pets on surprise though is always a pretty bad idea regardless of age (IE like as a gift). It's important to talk about it and make sure you're both up to the task.

  • @SputnikMedia But if you buy fishes to kids you need to take care of them cause an aquarium need some work to get a place where the fishes are happy in it.

  • @SputnikMedia im 12 and i have a parakeet nothings happend yet and nothing ever will

  • hows cuutee:) is this in australia???

  • Wow what a wild little "female" parakeet she is... Good luck w/her

  • Budgies always take any nesting material out of a nest box when going to nest

  • Has it died or is it still going???

  • thats what happens when the man re returns home and finds a pigion in the house with his wife.

  • miss16h........

parakeet and budgie is the same thing! stupid!

  • Definitely a hen budgie looking for a nesting place. My hen just tears & destroys anything i put in her box. And yeah the cere is definitely a BIG indicator on the sex. Some birds have the cere discolour over time but generally bright pink/purple/blue is male, and baby blue with a dusky powdery white and white nostril rings is a young or unconditioned female, and brown crusty cere is a female in breeding condition. :)

  • awwh thats looks like my budgie and she ran away :(

  • first of all it's a budgie and second os that this video shows how budgies adapt so quickly if they should be so unfprtunate to get out of their homes.

  • With budgies you can tell just by the cere, even if it isn't all brown, you can tell by the white around the nostrils.

She is cleaning out the box, because budgies like a clean nesting box.

I raise both English and Americans.

    And show the English.

I also belong to 2 clubs.

But yes,she is just getting ready to nest, and wants it clean.

  • maybe she's hungry and she's tearing the nest up because she wants to eat.

  • Even a blind dog with head trauma could tell that's a female

  • its a female.. duh.. brown cere(fleshy part over her beak) probably just being instinctual

  • Aw he is so cute! :D

  • The bird is a she.

  • the one that comes to my backyard escaped about 2-3 years ago

  • theres one that comes to my house and eats and then he leaves whenever he sees a person

  • lol i like how it comes out n watches

  • bb gun bb gun bbgun bb gun?

  • Yes. Go ahead and shoot yourself with it.

  • suck a dick and eat a butt out you smart piece of shit.

  • eat a buutttt ouuuuuuutt.

  • oh but i see this vid has been added a year ago :p hopefuly by now she didn't destroy the houses too :p

  • Its a female, so probably that's why shes destroying the nestbox, to make her own! try to set a trap by placing another budgie preferably a male in a cage !

  • awe he's the king of the castle !

  • ahahaha

  • You guys find his owner?

  • lol! parakeets are so funny and half the time just unpredictable! lol!

  • I didn't know parakeets were so violent

  • this is why you can't handle pet birds outside your house...even though it seems to trust you... only let it free roam inside the house in a secure area. lol

  • um...did you try calling animal control? thats somebodys pet thats missing!

  • thats how budgies behave, most of the time, they dont like having things inside their nesting box, they want ti empty, but probably the bird died because budgies cant survive in the city

  • haha Vicious!!!

  • I just came upon your video, is the parakeet still around? Did it survive?

  • We stopped seeing it after this video was made about 2 years ago. We found an egg inside the birdhouse with no nesting, but no budgie.

  • Hopefully he found his way home.

  • that looks just like my parakeet that ran away but. i live on 3226 kumquat dr. edgewater fl.

  • hunter1665; Uh why are you giving out your address?

  • probly incase the bird was hers/his if the video taker happened to had been living in or around the area when he taped it

  • Thank you for your address.

  • ok...i'll call teh assassinator

  • i seen a bird i try to get it but couldent but then latter i got it but a couple das latter it died

  • Once I heard a story on the news that said parakeets are adapting to towns after they ecscaped. He probably ecsaped from someones house and found a home up there.

  • i dont no try to catch the bird at night time or get the fire fighters to get the nest with the parakeet inside. then take it 2 a shelter. yay!!

  • how can she/he survive outside, it seemed pretty windy

  • cutest thing ever!!

  • omfg

  • Take that John Sparrow!

Yeah! Not so tough now without your grass are you? Huh?

  • Here's something funny! This video popped up on my page after my video Parakeet video finished, so I watched it.

I was going to ask where you were from, and then I checked your channel page, and it said FairLawn, NJ.

LOL, I made a parakeet video, too. I live 2 towns away from you in Bergen County.

  • lol!

  • These comments are proof that society is losing the battle against education and intelligence.

  • that parakeet looks like mine andu no wat she did she attaked the babies of another monther's parakeet 1 died and the 2 survived.

  • May I suggest putting in some millet near the little bird house?

My birds go nuts for that stuff, every parakeet does.

  • that's damn true.

  • lame

  • you sound like you're very fond of this parakeet

  • I wonder why the person taping did not try to catch the bird? I know I would have at least tryed to catch it and then see if there were any babies in the bird house. Oh well at least the bird is happy and nothing bad happened to it. I hope he finds his way back to his owner or vise versa soon.

  • Poor bird. It got lost. I feel so bad for it. I hope it finds its home so that it can have food, water, and a warm home.

  • no one cares what it eats do you noooo! this bird is an killer wow with no place to stay it will die it has to keep warm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Parakeet: I need to clean this nasty bird house before I move in!

  • lol crazy bird
