lock blade on that design, try double release?lock latch top and bottom, ring wire being pulled pulls both latches simultaneously top and bottom allowing blade to eject top latch drops into place locking the blade. second pull of wire opens latch again. Just have to figure second spring assembly allowing two sets of springs to work depending on the blade position in or out. Just an idea

Im not trying to say that its bad, but i think you are misunderstanding the idea of otf.

an otf locks in the in and out positions although you can still do this without it being otf the difference is that the otf switch can be pulled again for the blade to retract. if you like i can give you a link to an actual otf mechanism wristblade if you pm me

Unless u want to make a purely gravity OTF, the only moving part being the blade and the locking mechanism., then sure, go for it. But, that is no longer what you would call a "true" hidden blade. Otherwise, you would just have a sharp object on a slide that you pull out and it doesn't retract, much like your blade. Don't talk shit if you dont know shit.
