@allibeth68 My Mom always prepared Galbi directly under the broiler. It browns nicely just like as if you grilled it because the natural sugars/garlic caramelize well under the broiler. It only takes about 6-8 minutes, and you only have to turn it once half way through. Be sure to have your sides ready because this meat takes less than 10 min to cook. Hope this helps. =0) May God bless!
I miss Korean bbq! When i went to South Korea for a vacation, it was the best month of my life. i love korean food, they dont have any here in north carolina (white american btw) i loveee korean bbq so much. i wanna go back!
Ms.Maangchi i want to know is it okay to chop the onion, pear, garlic buy hand if i dont have a blinder, i have to cook dinner on sunday and i don't know what to do, oh also if i cant find garlic cloves can i use garlic salt or powder whew being 14 years old and black, korean is hard t
I tried it last night and it was soooo good. The only problem is that I didn't get a nice thin slices of beef, it took longer to cook but everything else was superb.
@9HereticPrincess9 even if you dont like it, I would recommend you using em on Korean marinate. Its sweeter then the normal pears but the main use of them is that they are great for tenderizing the meat. Kiwi fruit is a awesome alternative to this if you prefer a zesty tangy taste :)
@Maangchi what kind of rice cake should i look for?! D: All the ones that say rice cake on the package are squishy. None of them are hard. Is it called something else on the package???
I really like your steaming pot and I'm looking to buy one. So where can I find the one like you! Also I love to watch you vedio and I just cooking Tuna pancake tonight it so good! yumm..thank you so much for make a very good vedio.
Your recipe s simple, easy to follow and combines a fantastic set of ingredients. I taught in Korea in Kang Nam Ku for almost two years and this is one of the BEST recipes for me thus far......! Well done Ajumoni!

That was awesome!!! I enjoy how you aren't afraid to put your hands right in your food when you are cooking and also not afraid to eat on camera. You are very entertaining and I enjoyed very much!
