3. The Joker will make a cameo in a prison cell, entering Harley Quinn.

Which leaves, Mr. Freeze & The Riddler.

Mr. Freeze has not even been rumoured yet, or anyone to play him.

Which means The Riddler shall be Gotham's Number 1 criminal.

As for actors, I think Jim Carrey should reprise his role as the Riddler, although if not, Johnny Depp would be my second suggestion.

Well, it's just a couple of suggestions, I don't want them all in part 3 as well.

At the moment I favour Catwoman (as a prostitute), the Penguin (as a mobster) and one of these characters: Riddler, Joker or Harley Quinn.

I also think that there are only two things which can ruin Ledger's performance: A bad actor and a bad screenplay.

No Kate Beckinsale or Rosario Dawson to be Catwoman. They're too well known for comic book roles and they're not particularly good actors either. Maybe Rhada Mitchell (from Woody Allen's "Melinda and Melinda"), or even somebody you might not think but whose a real talent, like Amy Adams ("Junebug") would be good. You'd never think of her but she could pull it off.

Yes Nolan did intend for Joker to return. But he has now been writen out of the script as far as I know. So the question of who's gonna play Harley isn't an issue. But if I'm wrong than the role should go to Anna Faris. She's Young, slim, blonde and ditzy. Perfect for the role of Harley Quinn. And the person who is the absolute best choice for Catwoman is Julie Benz.

I would honestly prefer them not to make another movie if it came down to completing the trilogy using Catwoman or the Penguin or not having another film. The new Batman movies are trying to keep the realism at a paramount and the retardation to a minimum. The Penguin is a ridiculous villain and Catwoman... What would she possibly do on her own? That's actually a very good idea. I've heard that they have some spare footage that they are planning to use to begin the third film of Ledger's joker.

It's sad Ledger passed at the time he did. Batman having meetings with the Joker in Arkyham trying to get inside of the Riddler's psychotic mind for the 3rd film would have been classic.

I haven't seen "The Dark Knight" yet, but I know that the Joker survives. It's possible that Nolan wanted the character in the next movie, he also said that Joker's death in the very first "Batman" was a big mistake. But it's also possible that he uses new villains.
