Lol, yea me and my friend with his mamba sc10 were following it in a grand am and hit 60 then it flipped, landed back on it's wheels as I swerved into the left lane to not run it over. Other than that, we always race people with our brushless trucks and see how close we can get. Still have yet to have someone run it over.

Funny running across this because I've wanted to do it since childhood. I can't wait for summer. I have done it before without a camera and slower car. Now I have that truck and a Contour helmet cam (Need to get a brushless) so stay tuned! Hopefully get a bunch of us in back of pickup and have 3 or 4 cars goin with onboard on mine and also same view as this video. Good recipe for funny crashes.

You can fit up to a 3S 5000MaH 20C Lipo in the slash battery compartment. That translates to about 30minutes of intense off road abuse, to about 1hour of casual jumps and bashing around in your local canyons.

I have a 19T on the stock spur with the VXL on a MM Side winder ESC, and a 3S lipo in a slash, its about 35 degrees when im running and the motor, i can hold my finger on it for about 5 seconds before it hurts. Im worried about the summer time when its in the 80's and 90's... Do you thik a 17T or 16T would be good and give my good speed still???

i have a slash with vxl brushless and i found a plastic box that opens and closes that i could put esc in i cut holes in the top for the leads then sealed it with dct tape and safety tape works great

i freaking love it, you can bash it so much more than any fucking stadium truck, my st couldnt handle as much of a beating as my slash, its AMAZING!! and my Xcellerator sucks...the engine keeps breaking, that was so far my worst buy, i think next i might get an mt, or a 1:18 onroad. There is only one Slash model. People just do a lot of upgrades to make them go faster. Traxxas released a Slayer, which is a nitro 4wd version, but it is based on a Revo chassis and has a Slash body on it.

I was using a Maxamps 3s Lipo. I popped a shock cap and tore a front tire in half. Since I made this video I bought a Mamba Max and I have to say I love the programming ability and all the options. The only downside is I have to hookup my laptop to do it. The VXL is program on the fly but not many options.
