Hello. I havent hooked up my midi keyboard yet so I just use my keyboard keys. But whenever I use the keyboard keys, the piano always is delayed or just fades out. Any tips? Thanks.
Interesting stuff. Not as interesting as some of your previous tutorials but alas.. Its just too bad that there isn't a (assignable) key command to initialize a patch. btw; personally I also heavily use the F8 key to bring up (and remove) the tool window. Often I find it easier to use when I'm building an instrument or effect in the combinator (you can scroll much quicker there).

I knew some of these. What would really help would be a cheat sheet/appendix of all the commands on one page, rather than just dotted throughout the documentation
The new generation/crop of producers these days tend to not read manuals and go right to YouTube for everything... so.. while it might seem a bit redundant to explain functions/features that are in the manual to those of us that read it, it's all new info to them. The purpose of these episodes is to both show new/unique tips/tricks and also cover some of the basic 101 type stuff. That way we can have something for everyone.
@MrBrandonPeoples That's not true - Ableton and Pro Tools do too (or at least PT used too). Thanks for the tutorials James, much appreciated (and your Rewire template has been truly fantastic too!)
@jamesbernardmusic Definitely, I have never looked at the manual once. Everything I know about production was learned from friends or YouTube tutorials. I really appreciate every one of these tuts.
@jamesbernardmusic No Really, i think that new producers need to see someone browse to the manual on a mac and on a PC so they know where it is. Similar principal to this tutorial - agree with everything you said, just that it's a shame that the documentation is so good yet is largely overlooked.
@jamesbernardmusic ok, yes the manual has this. But sometimes when a use like me buys an upgrade, it is easier to see the "what's new" videos, since I know my way around the older version.
out of all those keys, G and H (zoom) are the only ones I never learned.. I thought the Ctrl+LMB drag on the new zoomed map thingie on the bottom of records sequencer was awesome, before record I would just click.. so cumbersome
I can't wait until next week, I want to see records list
@PropellerheadSW

There is no COMMAND key on PC, it's the ALT key for those confused.

@MrBrandonPeoples well it makes sense, any company that charges you to show you how to use their product isnt worth investing in

Good tips. I actually knew mostly of these tips by learning them by accident. But some of those tips were helpful! Thanks

Reason needs a set of key commands for increasing/decreasing the snap value. That dropdown control is a hassle.
Great videos James.
