  • @PropellerheadSW

How do you get the customized picture items in the rack?

  • shift+Enter(Win) retrun to the starting point

    Cntrl+Enter(Win)REcord

& also You can use Cntrl+Shift+Mouse wheel for zooming

  • great tip number 22

  • how do you create those time markers to mark verses?

  • Hello. I havent hooked up my midi keyboard yet so I just use my keyboard keys. But whenever I use the keyboard keys, the piano always is delayed or just fades out. Any tips? Thanks.

  • great company

  • By the way, instead of Shift+Tab You can press Ctrl+E, which somehow works best for Me personnaly.

  • fuck the manual,i produce dubstep house electro.and i mite be getn signd to a record label all from youtube tutorials!

  • I saw record 1.5 in there !

  • James, hurry up with the next eps! No I don't care if you're on vacation or whatever, feed us hungry addicts >:)

  • Thanks a lot James - really helpful!

  • I can't wait for the "L" key command to loop a selected clip

  • Interesting stuff. Not as interesting as some of your previous tutorials but alas.. Its just too bad that there isn't a (assignable) key command to initialize a patch. btw; personally I also heavily use the F8 key to bring up (and remove) the tool window. Often I find it easier to use when I'm building an instrument or effect in the combinator (you can scroll much quicker there).

  • There is no COMMAND key on PC, it's the ALT key for those confused.

  • Hi james I was wondering do you have any videos using the spider audio? for redrum?

  • what the track plays in the end?

  • @FFspb

It's a piece of music I am working on.

  • @jamesbernardmusic nice tune! its finished? was released?

  • @FFspb

Not yet.. maybe soon... I have a lot of partially finished tunes I need to complete for an album.

  • I knew some of these. What would really help would be a cheat sheet/appendix of all the commands on one page, rather than just dotted throughout the documentation

  • Thanks for the great tips Mr Bernard! Here, have an apple!! No, seriously, I love all you tuts. Keep em coming!

  • I must admit, people think I'm crazy when they watch me use Reason 4 and Record with all the key comands

  • Please add Copy/Paste/Cut/Duplicate/Time on the secuencer on Reason 5 like ableton does.

  • Where's the how to RTFM tutorial?

  • @PushedButton

The new generation/crop of producers these days tend to not read manuals and go right to YouTube for everything... so.. while it might seem a bit redundant to explain functions/features that are in the manual to those of us that read it, it's all new info to them. The purpose of these episodes is to both show new/unique tips/tricks and also cover some of the basic 101 type stuff. That way we can have something for everyone.

  • @jamesbernardmusic and propellerhead is the only company (music DAW wise) that actaully provides their tutorials for free

  • @MrBrandonPeoples That's not true - Ableton and Pro Tools do too (or at least PT used too). Thanks for the tutorials James, much appreciated (and your Rewire template has been truly fantastic too!)

  • @Crowmusicuk i did not know that, I've looked and never found any, PM a link please :D

  • @MrBrandonPeoples well it makes sense, any company that charges you to show you how to use their product isnt worth investing in

  • @jamesbernardmusic Definitely, I have never looked at the manual once. Everything I know about production was learned from friends or YouTube tutorials. I really appreciate every one of these tuts.

  • @jamesbernardmusic No Really, i think that new producers need to see someone browse to the manual on a mac and on a PC so they know where it is. Similar principal to this tutorial - agree with everything you said, just that it's a shame that the documentation is so good yet is largely overlooked.

  • @jamesbernardmusic ok, yes the manual has this. But sometimes when a use like me buys an upgrade, it is easier to see the "what's new" videos, since I know my way around the older version.

  • which one is the shift key?

  • very good tip thank u!

  • What's the difference between "CMD + E" and "Shift + Tab"?

  • Nice one. For some reason never knew L/R locator key commands LOL!

  • Good tips. I actually knew mostly of these tips by learning them by accident. But some of those tips were helpful! Thanks

  • Reason needs a set of key commands for increasing/decreasing the snap value. That dropdown control is a hassle.

    Great videos James.

  • I loved the music at the end... Is that your own track?

  • @jamesbernardmusic where can i find it lol?

  • @badasschickendude

At the moment.. only on my computer... not finished yet. ;-)

  • out of all those keys, G and H (zoom) are the only ones I never learned.. I thought the Ctrl+LMB drag on the new zoomed map thingie on the bottom of records sequencer was awesome, before record I would just click.. so cumbersome

I can't wait until next week, I want to see records list

  • @3:12 there is no command key on pc

  • @rockhills I just loaded up record to check, it seems Alt+LMB works for folding/unfolding

  • @rockhills command on mac/control on PC

  • @rockhills or alt maybe, yeah ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @jamesbernardmusic

    Wait.. ALT !!!!
