Why has no one commented on how perfect Lee Satterfield has been in providing the harmony to so much of Nanci's music? She is fantastic in her own right.

@sdelongslc Yes I agree Lee Satterfield is great. Perfect harmony. I used to know her when she was a student at Aspen high school and she used to make people in the audience cry when she was only 16 years old. (playing at the open mic at Jake's Abby). Later that year we played in a bluegrass band together (with her brother Jim). She has the ability to touch people's hearts (not just sing music).

One of the most talented singer/songwriters of the last 30 years. Nanci was a major success in Ireland at the time of Lone Star State of Mind / Little Love Affairs. Because her music didn't fit neatly into any specific category, it took longer for her to be discovered in other countries. While Nanci received plenty of critical aclaim, she never achieved the commercial success she deserved.

She has a great body of work that has largely fallen through the cracks of the music industry. Thanks to youtube and the folks who post these entertainment treasures. I recently rediscovered Nanci Griffith and am looking forward to her next Chicago area concert.She is fantastic.
