Wow, that was just AWESOME!!! I am actually reading through Exodus and I am at this part and the specific details always blow me away each time I read them. God has a perfect design that He wants His tabernacle to be. He is VERY precise in the details He wants His tabernacle to be! Thanks for the graphics that really helped me envision it even more! i'm really grateful you posted this, in our church we r having this bible chapters outlined for us to read all through the year n now am on exodus chapter 29, but i wasn't getting anything from exodus 25 n i remember asking God that He helps me understand the whole thing coz i didn't want to read just to finish it, but i want to read n perceive n know wat He wants to let me know. :))

To Sorenkierkegaard2008: Moses broke the first set of commandments (Exodus 32nd chapter). He received a second set in Exodus 34th chapter. Hope this helps :)

@sorenkierkegaard2008 In Exodus 24 thru 31, Moses was up on the mountain and God was giving him instructions how to build the tabernacle. In chapter 32 Moses comes down and breaks the first set of commandments. In chapter 34 he receives the 2nd set of commandments. Afterward the tabernacle is actually built and the 2nd set is placed in the ark. 1st set appears to have been destroyed.

Why does Paul (or the writer of Hebrews) say about the design of the tabernacle "But we cannot discuss these things in detail now"? Were there embellishments in the design that aren't mentioned in scripture? I mean, Exodus talks about "skilled craftsmen" being selected to build it. Or am I misunderstanding the verse in Hebrews?
